Coupling Meaning and Use It’s equipment that is used to connect, unite or bond two streak, shaft, beam or duct at their ends to transmit power. This device does not usually allow disconnection of duct during operation, but there is torque limiting that disconnect or trip when torque limit is exceeded. The initial purpose of this device is to bind two pieces of rotating or revolving equipment while letting some degree of misalignment or end movement. Maintenance and installation of this device can be done in reduced downtime and costs. Couplings can be usually seen in car parts, constructions, and any of its kind.
