Discotheque The lead single from Irish rock band U2 pop album that was release in 1997. It ranked number one in many countries charts including Europe singles chart and the song receives different reviews from critics both positive and negative reviews. In October 26, 1996 a 20 second sample of the song leaked to the internet and the whole track had been revealed the next day after U2 moved up the release date. The song was ranked number 10 but easily dropped off after 4 weeks in top forty. In 2002 U2 released a remixed version of the song and it features a long intro and restrained use of techno drum beat.
