With all of the recognition, its no wonder that the Hillman Restaurant is so popular with foreigners. It does not seem like our locals know much about the achievement of this humble restaurant occupying a 2 storey shophouse building along Kitchener Road. Can try the Fried Pork Ribs in Chinese Style. Although it looked ugly but surprisingly it was very tasty with its flavourful marinate and glazed with a beautiful plum sauce.
Claypot Chicken - another great dish esp for those who do not take beef.. u can't go wrong with any claypot dishes at hillman so this is a yummy dish as well.. tender chicken n e sauce is slightly thicker than e beef claypot but still goes fantastically with rice as well!
A lot japanese customer, as well as my boss comes here..
This place is very popular among the japanese..
For me is quite not bad, but not that special.
Spring roll is delicious, yummy.
The "seafood claypot" is just fantastic...
Dont really enjoy the "bai gu wang" (pork).. hard to chew..
The dessert is quite common, and pudding is not that nice.
My japanese colleagues like the fried noodle a lot.
The price is quite reasonable.
The standards of their staff are quite different, some are helpful, but some dont bother what u want...
Recommended this place for others, n will like to go back again.
