Convenience store is a small retail outlets that carrying a range of everyday items and operating 24 hours services. It could be located alongside a busy road, railway station, public transport terminal or attach to a gas and petrol kiosk.

Lightings for convenience stores are mostly not very sophiscated as compare to the department store and supermarket. The ceiling height of the convenience stores are mostly 3 to 3.5 meters. They are commonly using fluorescent recessed troffers with 1 x 1 meter grid. For the purposes of optimising the operation cost, either D830S tubular LED or D400 PLL tubular LED are used for replacement to fluorescent lamps.


However, interior and lighting designers may recommend using recessed downlights for convenience stores, such 510E circular downlight or 510S square downlights.
