After accepting the offer or before it you can also agree about accommodation. It is unwritten rule that you will pay the rent for the apartment where you will live. But if you have found some employer who is serious enough you will be given time for accommodation to life in Japan. So some extra time will be given to you- which extend to 2 months- to find apartment. Meanwhile you will live in employer’s apartment free of charge but you will have to share the apartment with other teachers.

For the end, I just want to say that these are some rules for Accepting ESL jobs in Japan. These rules are common but they are not unbreakable. With different employers different kind of contracts can be agreed. So, when you are looking for ESL jobs in Japan everything depends on the agreement agreed with your employer.
