It is a misconception that to burn belly fat, we must do lots of sit-ups and crunches. To burn belly fat, we must watch what we eat, increase our overall energy output to be greater than our intake of food and decrease our stress levels will also increase our belly fat burning capabilities.
Belly fat burning exercises are complemented by the quality and quantity of the food we take in. There should be an avoidance of processed foods, cookies, fast food and sodas. Throughout the day, we should increase the frequency of our meals to 5-6 times per day, eating meals that are balanced in all components of the basic food groups. When we control the amount of food we eat, we can optimize our workouts and allow our bodies to utilize and burn fat to achieve that flat stomach.
Burning belly fat, our energy expenditure needs to be greater than our total food intake. So by increasing our physical activity, we promote building muscles used for that activity. For example: running will build the muscles of the legs. By increasing our muscle strength, we are also increasing our lean body mass, which also makes our bodies burn fat to help fuel the increased activities that we are doing.
An increase in our activity level will in turn build muscles for that particular activity, thereby increasing our lean body mass. With the increased muscle development, metabolic processes also increase, which also increases our body's proficiency to burn fat as an energy source even after physical activity.
When our bodies are in a stressful situation, they react by releasing a hormone called Cortisol, which tells our bodies to preserve fat and prepare for an emergency situation. That fat is thereby stored in our stomach area.
Fat accumulation in the stomach area increases the risk of developing high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke and diabetes.
Belly fat burning exercises in addition to diet and stress management will definitely help kick start your system and burn the fat from the belly region. In doing so the results will be longer lasting and more permanent.
Burning belly fat is not complicated. It just takes some discipline to commit to making changes in our physical activity, diet and stress management. By doing a little bit every other day, you can achieve the results you want and burn that belly fat permanently.

The core question you have to ask yourself is this? What am I prepared to do to loose belly fat permanently? Sacrifice will be required. The days of sitting in front of the Tv for hours on end will have to change. There is action required, you will need to move. The idea that you could sit and watch your favorite TV channel and have a vibrating belt around your body melting away the fat is not going to happen.

You will need to include a mildly deficit calorie restriction diet. You will need to do frequent cardio workouts. You will need to do some strength training with weights. Your objective will be to build muscle. This will help to raise your metabolism and in turn you will lose weight and burn fat naturally. The fact that you don't have six pack abs is because body fat is covering them. The reduction in calories will begin the process of loosing fat.

Just because you want that flat tummy does not mean that you only focus on abdominal exercises. Remember we want to lose fat. There are other exercises better than abdominal exercises for burning calories and body fat.

Some of the factors that will help you lose belly fat is strength training. This increases your resting metabolic rate. Cardiovascular exercise helps to burn calories. This along with proper nutrition packs a deadly punch in eliminating fat. Once again the objective is to burn fat; once you burn fat your muscles will be exposed.
