The first step would be to read thoroughly the text before starting to begin any analysis. Beginning with a pattern set with questions in mind would not be of any value. The reading of the text is of utmost importance. Venturing out looking for answers to a set of objectives will lead no where. The text involves words and concepts which have a deeper meaning in the authors work, it must be fully explored so that its correct correlation is found and analysis gets a right direction.

The second step is to introduce the work of an another being. It requires defining the play or the writing in the first instance. It is merely in the form of summary statement. It must be informative in nature so that it accentuates the work more than the personal views and outlook of the writer.

The next step is the discussion of the authors work and his/her own visions. The focus must be over the ideas of the author with which he/she supports the entire work. The authors? visions are important as it displays a particular mind set which facilitated him/her to write. It is very important to consider that as it would not make the writer conservative with his writings. Taking into picture the authors visions would give the writer enough opportunity to prepare his statement accordingly.

Another important point is the focus of the writer. The writer must have a defined set of objectives so that he/she not only praises the authors? work but analyzes his/her own set of thoughts in the light of supporting facts. The aim of the writer must always be to focus on his objectives when significantly analyzing the work of others. Any deviation would entail the loss of direction of his writing and her writing would be aimless at the end.

It must discuss the criticisms, if any. It must also discuss widely the intentions of the writer towards the criticism portrayed. Otherwise the criticism is of no use and the underlying facts and ideas would stand baseless and void by the end. It must not only rely on the introduced criticisms made by others or a full length description of the negative directions of the writing. Rather, it must focus on the underlying reasons for such attitude and behavior. It makes the writing fair in the appropriate context.

The observations of the other writers and their views must also be taken into consideration while writing. It gets extremely important so as to avoid extremism on the writers? part. The other views would serve as supporting facts and will make the writer quite a fair person when evaluating the authors work. Blindly following the thought and perceptions of self would make the writing further argumentative for the future writers?. It would not stand justifiable to the aims of the writer.

The conclusion of a critical essay must bring together the ideas and thoughts of the writer which was critically developed throughout the writing. It must be well supported with facts from the writers? own perspective after analyzing the authors work quite distinctly and the view of the others authors and writers of the age.
