Individuals who have suffered from a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and who have developed nerve damage or motor neuron conditions may be able to restore strength due to the implementation of embryonic stem cells, according to a recent study from researchers at the Dalhousie Medical School in Nova Scotia.

Scientists from the medical school found that embryonic stem cells that were grown in the laboratory could be transplanted to the damaged neurons in an injured victim and could be reproduced. Scientists explained that the project "opens the door for a variety of different treatments."
