We see lots of colorful and bright colored t-shirts in America that are being worn by males all around the country but did you know that for one time in history, the t-shirt was only available in the color white? But now, we see lots of colorful bright shirts which has lots of funky patterns printed on them.
The was only worn as an underwear back in the nineteenth century. It was made popular by the Europeans. Then, during World War 1, American soldiers brought the t-shirt to the United States. By World War 2, the US Army and Navy has ordered that t-shirts be a standard issue, and soldiers wore them alone and not just an underwear during hotter climates. In the post World War 2 era, some movie stars like James Dean, Marlon Brando and John Wayne popularized the t-shirt. During the 1960s, tie dyeing their t-shirts were so in while black concert t-shirts were so popular in the 1970s.
During the 1980s and 1990s, the t-shirt industry saw the boom of slogan shirts like 'I am with stupid', but since most of the slogans were considered ubiquitous, the new millennium welcomed the 'personal branding' on t-shirts.
Because there are a lot of t-shirt websites and traditional fashion manufacturers around, people are now creating their very own individualized and personalized t-shirt trends. and personal slogans and sayings now front our t-shirts. So, all you t-shirt fans out there should be happy to know that we see a brighter and promising future for the t-shirt industry.
