[L590]Lost Season 5 Spoilers
by Buddytv, Bud
As Lost draws the curtains on its fourth season, anticipation, of course, is growing louder and louder over what's in store for Lost fanatics for the fifth. Enjoying a huge and loyal following, the ABC drama has indeed grown from being a simple enough story of a bunch of castaways stuck on an island to, well, a bunch of castaways stuck in a very complicated, thought-provoking island. Plot after convoluted plot, these fans have stayed on and gasped through whatever surprises and twists Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have cooked up for them.

Recently, some information leaked out of E! Online regarding a casting change in Lost season 5. According to it, a female cast member who had been on the show since season 1 will not be back for season 5 and will only return on season 6. This automatically takes away the possibility of this person dying. Then again, anything can happen in the island. And if we are to believe them, even the dead still wander through its forests.

Given the limited hints, it is actually possible to bring down the suspects to three: Kate, Sun, or Claire. Claire has not been herself lately, to put it mildly. Last we looked, a very messed-up Claire and his father Christian unexpected turned up inside a cabin which supposedly belonged to Jacob. Hence, it is very likely that she won't be back next season. Then return on season 6 with a hugely different persona. Regarding Kate, what is Lost without Kate? She was part of the infamous love triangle with Jack and Sawyer. In addition, the episodes leading to the finale have steadily built up hype for the Oceanic 6, convincing fans that it will be central to season 6. And if, indeed, the fifth season will focus on the Oceanic 6 going back to the island, she, not to mention Sun, has to be there.
