[A827]Automobile Repair & Service
by Kevin Donnelly, Kev
What is a turbo?
Ah yes, the science bit. A turbocharger is a turbine driven forced induction compressor powered by pressure from the engine's exhaust gas. But of course you knew that, didn't you?
Our scarily knowledgeable turbo repair boffin tells us: 'The objective of a turbocharger is to improve upon the size-to-output efficiency of an engine by solving one of its cardinal limitations: a naturally aspirated automobile engine uses only the downward stroke of a piston to create an area of low pressure in order to draw air into the cylinder through the intake valves'.
Since we imagine you didn't swallow a Haynes manual for breakfast, we'll let our turbo repair service boffin get back to the day job whilst we explain things in a way that's slightly less likely to leave you wanting to throw yourself under a passing Isuzu (after it's had its turbo repair work done, obviously).
Turbochargers compress the air flowing into the engine. And if you compress the air then you can fit more of it into the cylinder. The more air you force into the cylinder the more fuel you can add and when you put more of those two things together you get a bigger explosion in the cylinder. A bigger explosion in your cylinder gives you more power overall than you'd get from an engine that hasn't been turbocharged.
Why do I need one?
One very simple reason: a turbo can significantly boost an engine's horsepower without significantly increasing its weight. Assuming it's working properly, of course, which is where we come in. Once your turbo repair is complete or you've managed to fix your own with our turbo repair kits here are all the wonderful things you can expect from your turbocharger:
?More power from the same engine volume over a regular engine.
?Easier fitting than alternative methods of forced induction (the term given to compressing air within the cylinder).
?Smaller and lighter than alternatives.
?Better efficiency not only over 'regular' engines but also supercharged engines since much of the exhaust heat and pressure that would normally go to waste is used to compress the air.
?Fuel Economy. Be Green! Well, sort of. Get the oomph of a more powerful car for the same amount of fuel you're currently using. Just to be clear - although adding a turbocharger itself does not save fuel, it will allow a vehicle to use a smaller engine while achieving power levels of a much larger engine, while attaining near normal fuel economy while off boost/cruising. This is because without boost, only the normal amount of fuel and air are combusted.

If you are looking to repair your credit, there are a few things you need to know. It won't happen overnight; no matter how many times people try to convince you otherwise with their services. If you have poor credit, then chances are you have been contacted by some group who makes huge promises about fixing your credit. These credit repair services are bad news, though. Here are five ways to tell if a scam credit repair service is trying to make you their victim.

An Advanced Results Guarantee

Avoid any advanced results guaranteed by the company which doesn't bother to look at your unique situation before it offers you that guarantee. Simply put, these are the people who will tell you whatever it is that you want to hear and then run off with your money in the end. It may be pleasant to hear the good tidings from a credit repair service but you just cannot decide on such services that make a grand promise with nothing to back it up. Often this is a warning sign that a company is not as legitimate as it may have seemed at first.

Tip No. 2 -Wants Large Amounts of Cash Right Away

If a company asks you to pay them up front, then you should be very concerned about their validity. This is even truer for those scam credit repair services that want a large payment before they will even begin. It is not a happy thought, but there are people out there who are looking to pull the wool over your eyes. If they can do that under the veil of repairing credit, then they will hold no punches. Before you dedicate a large portion of your money to a scam credit repair service up front, you should consult other credit repair help options.

Changing your Identification Numbers

If a credit repair service offers to give you a brand new identity by changing identification numbers, then you can be certain they are scamming you since this is illegal in all states. Such a company may try to offer you a new social security or tax identification number. A person can face a lot of problems if he tampers with those types of numbers.

They Contacted You

Most reputable credit repair firms will not advertise by sending out spam emails. If you are checking out a service as a result of some spam that you got in your inbox, then there is a good chance that the company is a little bit less than reputable. Try to stick with a credit repair service that does their marketing in a more traditional way, as these firms are much more likely to end up providing a legitimate service to you.

Use your Common Sense

If it doesn't feel right, then there is a strong possibility that it is not right. Common sense should guide the majority of your financial decisions and this one is no different. You should know, at this point, what a legitimate business looks like and what a scam looks like. If you start to feel uncomfortable at any point during your interaction with a given company, then it is time to look in another direction.
