[M170]Making A Wedding Bouquet
by Jon Kelly, Jon
Autumn is visually a glorious time of year when you can feast your eyes on the changing colours from green to amber, yellow, red and orange. The temperatures might be dropping and the days getting shorter, but this seems to help intensify those deep shades, as the foliage dies. If you are lucky enough to have a wedding during this picturesque time of year it would be a shame not to take advantage of these beautiful colours and use them to make a beautiful autumn wedding bouquet.

Do not try and use unseasonal flowers for your wedding bouquet, this will give you added expense and effort in trying to get a summery or spring feel to your wedding. The bouquet should incorporate lots of greens and deep browns and flowers that are readily available at this time of year. Trust your imagination and come up with some truly memorable combinations of colours for your autumn wedding bouquet.

The Versatility Of Red Flowers

If there was one flower more popular that any other it would be the red rose, and it is especially favoured in wedding bouquets at all times of the year. This is to do with its romantic connotations and intrinsic beauty. The red rose is perceived as the embodiment of the classic style and can be used in your wedding bouquet; one should remember there are other beautiful red flowers that can add a deep splash of colour; examples of these flowers include mums, asiatic lilies, bird-of-paradise, carnations, asters and red gerbera daisies. Any of these will help to give an inspired look to your autumn bouquet.

Yellow Flowers To Lift The Dark Colours

If you feel that your autumn wedding bouquet is becoming too dark try and offset this by using yellow or golden flowers these will light up the dark colours and compliment them at the same time. Yellow is seen as a happy colour, especially with its association with the sun and warmth. Some good examples of flowers to use in your wedding bouquets are orchids, crocuses, sunflowers, hollyhocks, daisies and yellow roses.

Remember Orange Hues To Increase The Spectrum of Colour

Orange lies in the colour spectrum between yellow and those deep colours in your bouquet. So if you decide on orange colours, they have a range from rust to peachy hues which will give you enough choice to visually connect the deep colours with the more vibrant yellows. Some orange flowers to bear in mind include: tiger lilies, roses, calla lilies, orchids and daisies.

Tying Your Autumn Wedding Bouquet Together With The Fillers

Crucial to an arrangement holding together are the fillers, without the proper fillers the overall effect can be disastrous. Obviously the fillers used in your autumn wedding bouquet are going to be completely different from those you would use in the summer. To be creative try and intertwine leaves and red berries to create a garland which you can use in your autumn wedding bouquet. All sorts of objects that are used in Christmas decoration, such as copper beach branches, painted pine cones and twigs can also help to consolidate your wedding bouquet and increase its dramatic effect.

Autumn should inspire you to produce a solid and classical look, with depth to impress anyone with both its subtlety and splendour, and not forgetting a touch of whimsy, when putting together an autumn wedding bouquet.

We all love movies and most people love those movies that come with a bit, if not a lot of romance. They usually succeed in exciting and raising our spirits, making us want to be in the same position of high emotions and love. These great feelings can also be achieved in your wedding. You would love it if the guests attending your wedding got the feeling that they were in a great romantic movie, the premiere of the movie to be exact.

Romantic movies can be a source of nice cinema themes which can be used to enhance the wedding event. Try famous themes such as that of Hollywood movies to serve as an introduction to the fictional movie premiere. Other musical tunes from your favorite movies can also form part of an excellent soundtrack for the various scenes.

For a start, knock the shoes of the feet of your guests by giving them a red carpet welcome. This means that when they walk into the venue, they set their feet on a red carpet that runs all the way to the sitting area. Remember that first impressions matter a lot. Include large beautiful posters of your favorite movie stars along the walls or on the easels. You can have an usher dressed as a movie icon to welcome the guests and present them with popcorn. The guests should also be given the treatment of movie stars. Ensure not to compromise on any aspect since your intention is to create a lasting impression.

The next stop is at the reception. This is where all dreams come true. The decorations can take the form of filmstrips colored black and white. On each table, place a film award statue, for an example an Oscar, with the name of the table occupant or the marriage couple engraved on each.

Make a grand entrance. Walk gracefully down into the wedding reception area to the sound of trumpets such as the 20th Century Fox introductory fanfare. Make sure that all and sundry realize that the main actor and actress are entering the building.

Favors can also consist of silver keepsakes, movies or other movie-making equipment such as models of cameras, props or even projectors. You can also give the guests a screen play of the wedding they attended early and have a cameraman with a sticker written ?press? taking their pictures.

The food must bring out the feeling of being in blockbuster movie's premiere dinner. Ensure that there is lots of food and each guest can eat to their fill. The type of food can be of a classic theme and make sure there is variety to cater for everyone's taste. Serve popcorn and ice cream for dessert to crown the special menu. Be sure to include some special effects in the reception so as to make it a unique experience for everyone.

Entertain your guests well and they will never cease to appreciate it. Let them dance to love ballads from the most romantic movies. The guests can even assume the various characters in that movies thereby introducing an impromptu short play on different scenes.
