The hit musical movie Mamma Mia is now available on Blu Ray, complete with several special bonuses and features. The movie was released also on DVD on December 16, 2008. There are many extra bonus features that are found in Mamma Mia on Blu Ray that are not included on the DVD editions of the movie. The movie runs about 109 minutes, not including the bonus material and special features.

Found only Mamma Mia on Blu Ray are new interactive features that let viewers create their own commentaries about the movie. Not only that, but these fan commentaries can eben be shared with other viewers who also have this capability. This new feature that is found on recent movies is called BD Live, and it is available on a Blu Ray disc for the first time ever. Some of the features that are found on the disc are Anatomy of a Musical Number: Lay All Your Love on Me, The Making of Mamma Mia, and Becoming a Singer. There are also deleted scenes that had been filmed, but taken out in editing, outtakes, and also an entire musical number that was taped and not used in the final cut. This was the number titled The Name of the Game sung by Amanda Seyfried.

There is also a special audio commentary by the director of the film, Phyllida Lloyd. Phyllida Lloyd is the mastermind who is also responsible for the creation of the Broadway musical version of Mamma Mia on Blu Ray. There are special behind the scenes featurettes that are included as well. Exclusive to this version of the movie is a musical jukebox feature, a music video entitled Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! and a Bjorn Ulvaeus cameo as well.

There are even more bonus features that are completely exclusive to Mamma Mia on Blu Ray. There is a picture in picture commentary (U Control) available, where the audience can watch commentary on the film while the movie continues playing uninterrupted. This is a relatively new feature that can be found on movies other than this one, but it is quickly becoming a fan favorite feature. There is also My Scenes Sharing, Behind the Hits, My Chat, My Mamma Mia Commentary, and downloadable content for fans that just cant seem to get enough.

Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan star along with many other seasoned actors and actresses in the film. Streep plays Donna, the single mother whose 20 year old daughter is getting married. Her daughter Sophie wants her dad to give her away, but doesnt know who he is. She invites three men who could all be her father, and through the movie there are a few important life changes that come about for many of the people involved. Mamma Mia on Blu Ray is available for a bit less than $40.00.

Fans that have been waiting for Mamma Mia on Blu Ray will be able to finally own their own copy on December 16th in the United States. The musical turned movie celebrates love, life, and the music of ABBA too. In the movie, a young woman named Sophie is about to be married, and wants nothing more than to have her dad give her away. She snoops around in her moms diary and finds that there are three men who could be her father, so she invites them all to her wedding without her mother knowing. Her mother does eventually find out that her three ex lovers are there together, and the story takes off on a comical, heartwarming spin. There are many extra bonus features that are included in Mamma Mia on Blu Ray that are not found on the DVD.

Not including the special features and bonus materials, the Blu Ray movie runs 109 minutes.
