If you really want a six pack you will have to change your eating pattern. Eat less each meal but eat more meals per day. Most fitness experts say that you have to eat one small meal every three hours. Some professional fitness models and bodybuilders go even a step further and are eating seven or more meals per day but five or even six meals is ok. Keep an eye on your calorie intake. In order to lose weight you should burn more calories then you take in otherwise you won't lose belly fat. You can spend hours in the gym but if you have a layer fat on your belly nobody will see your abdominal muscles.

A healthy diet is also a very important change to make if your goal is to shed abdominal fat. The key to a healthy diet is watching your daily calorie intake and doing activities to keep your heart rate up to burn these unwanted calories. Try to eliminate some of the unnecessary junk foods you eat and replace it with a healthy snack. In addition, instead of eating three big meals daily, try five to six meals smaller meals per day. By doing this you will increase your metabolism, consequently, making it easier to burn abdominal fat.

Consumption of a healthy diet: A healthy diet plan has to be in the forefront of any weight loss exercise. Regular exercise with proper diet helps to lose weight on a steady scale. Abdominal fat can be a fact of history. It all depends on how you make the right moves.

The reason for this is that excess abdominal fat has been shown to increase the odds that someone will eventually end up having other lifestyle related diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or stroke.

There are two types of fat that you have in your abdominal area. The first type covers your abdominal muscles and is called subcutaneous fat. This fatty region lies directly beneath the skin and on top of the abdominal muscles.

The second type of fat that you have in your abdominal area is called visceral fat, and that lies deeper in the abdomen beneath your muscle and surrounding your organs.

Both subcutaneous fat and visceral fat in the abdominal area are serious health risk factors. However, recent studies have shown that having excessive visceral fat is even more dangerous than subcutaneous fat.

Both types of fat greatly increase the risk your risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, sleep apnea, various forms of cancer, and other degenerative or other non-specific lifestyle related diseases.

Visceral fat is particularly dangerous because it has been shown to release more inflammatory molecules, free-radicals and toxins into your body on a never-ending basis.
