by Dr. Ibrahim Khalil, Dr.
The Last verse in chapter (20) of the Old Testament says: "For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife."
The Last verse in chapter (20) of the New Testament says: "So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him."
The Last verse in chapter (20) of the Noble Quran says: "say: ' every one (of us) is waiting; therefore do await: Indeed you will come to know who are the follower and companions of the even path, and those who are guided and go aright'"
========
Old Testament:

Chapter 20 in the Old Testament is Genesis (20); it is composed of 18 verses.
The Last verse is that number 18
It says:

Genesis 20:18 (King James Version)

18) For the Lord had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.

In this verse, the Lord had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah; although Abimelech and his women never did a mistake!
========
New Testament

Chapter 20 in the New Testament is Matthew (20); it is composed of 34 verses.
The Last verse is that number 34
It says:

Matthew 20:34 (King James Version)

34) So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

In this verse, the Lord Jesus healed two blinds.
========
The Noble Quran:
Chapter 20 in the Noble Quran is TA-HA (TA-HA); it is composed of 135 verses.
The Last verse is that number 135

TA-HA 20:135

135) "say: ' every one (of us) is waiting; therefore do await: Indeed you will come to know who are the follower and companions of the even path, and those who are guided and go aright'"

In this verse, the two parties, the believers and the unbelievers wait. At the Day of Judgment both will know who:
1.Are the follower and companions of the even path
2.Are guided
3.Go aright
But it will be too late for the unbelievers!

Back to the main issue of my series of articles; this is my question to you smart readers: "Is the Quran quoted from the Bible?"

The Middle verse in chapter (20) of the Old Testament says: "Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, what hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done."
The Middle verse in chapter (20) of the New Testament says: "And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,"
The Middle verse in chapter (20) of the Noble Quran says: "but we said to him: 'do not be afraid; you shall surely be the uppermost."
=========
Old Testament:

Chapter 20 in the Old Testament is Genesis (20); it is composed of 18 verses.
The Middle verse is that number 9
It says:

Genesis 20:9 (King James Version)

9) Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.

According to this verse, Abimelech was right and innocent and Abraham was wrong!
This Biblical story puts Abraham down!
This story is not mentioned in the Quran and I on Abraham's behalf fell sorry about it!
=========
New Testament

Chapter 20 in the New Testament is Matthew (20); it is composed of 34 verses.
The Middle verse is that number 17
It says:

Matthew 20:17 (King James Version)
17) And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

The Noble Quran:
Chapter 20 in the Noble Quran is TA-HA (TA-HA); it is composed of 135 verses.
The Middle verse is that number 68
It says:

TA-HA 20:68

68) "but we said to him: 'do not be afraid; you shall surely be the uppermost."

This verse talks about the story of the challenge between Moses and Pharaoh. One has to read the full Quranic story about Moses to appreciate the difference here and there!
