[M43]Make A Fake Email
by Graham Waite.., Gra
I am lucky really I have all sorts of aids to prevent me sending emails or any thing else for that matter with firewalls, warnings and bunch of early warning devices. But wouldn't you like to be absolutely sure you didn't accidently send all your details in to the eagerly waiting hands of eBay scam or con artist.

Lets start with the obvious ways of stopping things going wrong and then we can build from there...

There are a few simple tips everyone can follow to tell if an email has actually come from Ebay or not. Here are a few things to look out for, if you know any more then feel free to let us all in on the story at my blog http://www.auctionwealthsecrets.com/auctionnews/

1. Look to see who the e-mail is from: When opening the email if you look towards the top of the email it should give an email address, does this email address end with @ebay.com? If not, you know to immediately remove it. Be careful here as these people are very devious check twice as they will try different domain extensions such as .tv, .org, .ng. and so on.

2. Where would the link in the email take you will indicate straight away that that email is from a scammer. Carefully place your mouse of over the link and confirm for yourself. Under no circumstances click on the link.

Now look at the lower left screen just on top of the computer start button. This will indicate where the link you would be sent to if you clicked on the link in the email. If the link is anything other than http://www.ebay.com/whatever/ then it is a scam email. You can either delete it or send it to spoof@ebay.com and they will investigate it's origin and hopefully put a stop to this for you.

A helpful tip is to then block that email address in your email system so they can't send any more.

3. Don't reply to any email until you have considered it's orgin and content. Many eBay scammers refer to transactions which never took place. If you haven't brought and item don't reply to the email and don't fall for the trick question about an item you haven't listed either.

A common way scammers get your details is they send out a ' you've won the bid email'.But before you are tempted to check things out make sure this is an item you have bidded on first. But hold on a minute I am about to give you a fool proof technique to make sure you don't become another eBay scamming victim.

Drum roll please here it comes the fool proof way of making sure you NEVER open a scam eBay email message, it's so simple you'll kick yourself but here it is.

Every legitimate email sent by eBay or through eBay's system will be sent to your MY eBAY account and if it is not there it didn't come through eBay. See told you it was simple. So the answer is to delete all emails from eBay or any spoof address and use the eBay mailing system in my eBay and you'll then sleep well at nights knowing that you've foiled the eBay scammers in their tracks.
