Nominated for scant major television awards in its first few seasons, Gilmore Girls is nevertheless a major among TV viewers. Set in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut, the show follows the lives of former-teenage mother Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her now teenage daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel). Friends as well as immediate relatives, the two grapple with various aspects of their lives together as Lorelai fights to keep her daughter from repeated the mistakes of her own past.
