Indeed, the very first question you should ask yourself is that whether you really need these power drinks. You may be a bit disappointed when you know my answer. You do not need these drinks most of the time.

As a matter of fact, most people who take such drinks are men who are considered overweight. It seems that they are so addicted to TV commercials and they try to drink what the sport stars drink in the TV commercials. Do you think people are taking the power drinks because they are going to have some workouts? The answer is probably a NO. There is not reason to drink these kind of thing for these men except that they are too addicted to TV commercials.

You may wonder why people who are overweight tend to take these drinks. In fact, they may also eat energy bar as well. The reason for that lies on the people who do the marketing work for these products. They are so clever to get some sport stars to promote the power drinks or energy bars.

When people watch the TV commercials or other advertisements. They may have an illusion that that they will look as great as the sport stars if they take the drinks or the energy bars.

Yes it is true that the drinks may be good for you if you are going to have some workouts. If you can eat an energy bar one to two hours before you go for the workouts. It will be good since you will not feel hungry when you are doing the exercises.

Yet you need to make sure that you are going to have workout for more than half an hour. For about every 30 minutes of workout you may 16 oz of sports drink beforehand. Even it is the drink, it will still takes you something like 45 minutes to absorb it. So remember to take it at least 45 minutes before you working out.

On the contrary, you may not need the drinks if you are not going to have exercises. You will be just wasting your money! You do not really need to get the energy from these drinks. You can get it from the food you consume. You will eat anyway right? Then there is no reason for you to take these drinks if you are not people who go working out from time to time.
