Setting up a schedule is also important in balancing the many aspects of being a work at home mom. You should take the time to make up a schedule that gives you time each day to attend to the demands of your job as well as household chores and the demands of your family. It should even include time throughout the week to see outside family members or socialize with friends since the schedule won't work if these types of things are not factored in. Once it has been established though, you should follow it and stick to it. Doing so will help you make the most of your time in each area of your life.
If you do happen to have small children at home that don't attend school during the day it can be even more difficult to find the balance between family life and working at home. Make sure you use the time when your children are napping or resting to work since these are the only few hours of peace and quiet you get during the day.
