[A427]All Inclusive Vacation Belize
by Jim Brown, Jim
Staying in a quality all suite hotel on Ambergris Caye is just one of the great pleasures in life, and the Belize Legacy Resort is such a place. It is a relatively new addition to the market, and is secluded and quite isolated for a resort on Ambergris, but is the perfect place to have a great beach vacation.

If you have never taken a Belize vacation, and you are looking for a superb beach front all suite hotel, and you don't want lots of people around, where you can feel safe with your kids, and there is great snorkelling and scuba diving, then this slightly isolated and secluded spot will tick all the right boxes for you

Belize Legacy Resort is beautiful, even spectacularly beautiful, right on the beach, with great staff who do a very good job. The beach is what you expect a Belize beach to be, and it is cleaned every morning which makes it absolutely perfect to look at. The beach is white sand, and seems to go for miles, so there is plenty to explore, and feel safe at the same time The sea is the kind of colour you only ever see in photographs, and even then you wonder if it has been touched up, well this is where you discover it is real. The sea is warm, and Belize Legacy Resort is the kind of resort where you will spend a large part of the day in the water.

To get here from the airport at San Pedro means a boat trip in the hotel's own water taxi, and the 20 minute journey gives you an idea of the isolation. In fact San Pedro doesn't really seem to have too much to commend it, perhaps one or two restaurants which are pricey, but you will initially be put off by it, as also Belize City, but reassured once you are out on the water. If you want to visit San Pedro then the hotel has a complimentary boat service or you can take a water taxi. The Belize Legacy Resort is the kind of place that people come to as an escape, and there is no real need to go back.

When you arrive, the atmosphere immediately sets you at ease, from the friendly receptionist who shows you to your room, to the chef who checks on your likes and dislikes. By the way, between San Pedro airstrip and the boat you can stop for groceries, because there is a reasonably well equipped kitchen in your suite. You may well want to stock up on breakfast things and perhaps snacks if you have children, because although the food in the restaurant is very good, with a menu in the evening that changes all the time, it is also not cheap.

The rooms are clean and comfortable with comfortable beds, and good air conditioning, which is all you really want. The bathrooms have a huge shower, and a large sundeck to relax on at the end of the day.

The Belize Legacy Resort is very much a quiet resort, far from anywhere, and not the place for people who like night life but want a great beach vacation. It is a good class all suite hotel, very beachfront, and a great addition to Ambergris Caye.
