A big problem that emarketers face today is simply getting their messages opened and read.
With all the spam that can be found online and all the different laws that are out there... its tougher than ever to get through to your customer.
But today I'm going to share with you a simple way to get your customers to open and read your emails.
step 1 Focus on the end result.
This without question is where most email marketers drop the ball. Instead of focusing on the benefits that their customers will receive from their products or services...they instead focus on what they think their customers will like or some wacky feature of their product or service.
This is a bad move in my opinion.
There are so many other ways that you can use to get your customers to open up your emails rather than trying to bore your customers into opening up your messages.
So the question is, how do you get your customers to click on your emails and devour your message word for word?
Here's what you do.
Just ask yourself what is the end result that your customer can expect to receive when they use your product or service. what can they expect to be, have, or do with your product or service that they normally wouldn't be able to do if they didn't have your product or service.
Once you have the answer, put this information in your headline. Tell your customer the minimum results that they can expect to see, have or do....but don't use hype here....just honest information.
step 2 Use the power of curiosity to get them to read further into your email message.
This is an easy step you can use to increase the number of customers who open up your messages, but few people know exactly how to use -yet will work wonders for you when you use it correctly. All you have to do is give your reader a small peek at what the rest of the article will be about, and then immediately switch gears.
This is exactly how news programs get you to stick around for the different stories they will be featuring.
For example...
How many times have you heard a news anchor say something like, "earlier today there was a three car pile up on highway 20, leaving 2 small kids and 2 adults klinging for their lives, we'll have more on that in a moment, but first we'll take a look at todays weather forcast."
See, the trick is to start off on a story that your audience will be interested in, and then completely switch gears. Psychologist's will tell you that our minds can't stand it when we have something that's incomplete. Your curiosity is triggered when you hear a story that's incomplete.
What your doing here is giving your customer some bait that will hook them, but not enough to get the full taste of your message. For that they'll have to read on.
So, do you see how easy it is to get your customers to open up and read your emails?
