[G168]Get Rid Dark Circles
by peterhutch, pet

Dark circles mainly arise near the eyes and are also known as 'bags under the eyes'. In some cases, darkness around the eyes is hereditary. Dark circles are also seen in people with allergies. There are other culprits - something you can do something about. Smoking, drinking a lot of coffee, soda or caffeine beverages will normally cause dark circles severe.

Dark circles are likely to become more noticeable and permanent with age. Excess folds of skin under the eyes will also make dark circles more pronounced. Common allergens include dairy and excessive sugar. Dark circles under the eyes are a sign that your liver or kidneys are carrying a toxic load. Too much sun can also cause under eye circles. A lack of sleep or excessive tiredness can cause paleness of the skin, which again allows the blood underneath the skin to become more visible and appear more blue or darker.

Causes:

1. Heredity: -

The dark circles are also caused due to heredity reasons. People with itchy skin conditions and prone to allergies, are highly suspected of dark circles due to inflammation and a lot of eye rubbing.

2. Lack of sleep: -

Those who suffer from insomnia, who do not get to sleep properly, and who overstress their muscles, are prone to dark circles.

3. Iron deficiency -

It is believed that lack of mineral iron can cause dark circles as well. Iron deficiency is the most common type of anemia and this condition is a sign that not enough oxygen is getting to the body tissues.

Treatment:

Avoidance of the allergens is the best treatment, but this is often not possible. When it is not possible to avoid one or more allergens, there are two major forms of medical treatment: drugs and immunotherapy. Always read the package label for directions or consult your doctor or pharmacist before treating children with over-the-counter medications. Children are not small adults, but have different physiology. They are more susceptible than adults to the effects of certain medicines and may have unexpected reactions.

There is no shortage of remedies for baggy eye lids and dark circles under the eyes. These treatments range from applying skin cream to the affected area to minor surgery. A home remedy may just clear up those dark circles without you having to spend a lot of money. Applying cool tea bags or cool cucumber slices under the eyes will reduce swelling and fluid retention bringing some relief. With so many skin creams on the market, you may find it a challenging to choose the right one.

The tips of preventing the dark circles are as:-
Try to avoid the caffeine, because they promotes water retention and lead to the dryness of the eye.

Apply concealer to the darkened areas. If the circles under your eyes tend to be very purple, use concealer with a yellowish tone.
Grapeseed oil is an antioxidant that has been found effective for reducing eyestrain.

Apply a paste of fenugreek mixed in milk on dark circles in the night. Wash off in the morning and watch dark circles vanish for good.

Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Iron deficiency can be a cause for dark circles around the eyes.
