[G212]Getting A New Phone
by Jeffrey Eugenio, Jef
We all know that information about the pet that we desire can help us a lot in making the right decision on whether or not to get that dog. The differences in behavior and traits among dog types can be compared to variations in people. Knowing the perfect match between the dog breed with the owner or family is the key to success in getting a dog into your house.

Dogs come in numerous races that are naturally introduced to the dog world in addition to those produced specially by cross-breeding or breeding 2 dissimilar dogs, for example Labradoodle which is a cross between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle.

You should also consider what dog breed you can take care. A property with a huge back yard can be sufficient room for a large dog breed to run and play.

Do you wish for a pet that is sturdy, yet cute and plays well with children? Are you thinking of getting a guard dog for your home or business? Do you want to grow a show dog to enter competitions?

Maybe you just want to own a loyal companion, tiny enough to be calm in your house and calm enough to sit with his head on your lap in the evening? These are several concerns you need to think about as you look for the perfect type of pet.

How many people live in your house? If you are the type of person who works long hours then choose a breed of pet that can cope with a lot of alone time at home – maybe pets that like dog toys and can also entertains himself.

For a family with little kids a medium to large-size pet dog is more appropriate because it is generally gentle by nature and also patient with kids. For them, their pet dog is like a toy – they don't understand it's a living; breathing creatures that can get hurt and become aggressive by their actions.

There are dog breeds that will not tolerate the antics of your small kids, but would be great with grown-up kids. A dog for older people is a breed that’s not demanding.

Another 2 types of dogs are those that shed a lot and also those that don't. Dog shedding is a huge trouble of people who have dogs. Dog fur clings to furniture, clothing as well as your guests who sit anywhere in the house. Short haired dogs may look easier to groom but they too can shed. Classification of shedding can be grouped or divided into barely sheds, seasonal only shedding and constant shedding.

Another significant issue to consider is the size of the dog. Smaller dogs weigh less than 10 pounds, medium dogs weigh 11-25 pounds, large dogs weigh 26-50 pounds and extra large dogs weight 51-80 pounds. There are also extremely huge breeds that can reach up to 100-180 pounds. Now you see why size is also a big factor in picking a dog that is suited for you.

Do you think your furniture can take a large dog? When you are choosing a breed always remember to base your decision on the size the breed will grow to as an adult and not on the look of the puppy.

Always remember that big dogs are also big eaters. If you bring home a Mastiff, you may need a second occupation just to pay for the health care.

Your dog’s health care is another important consideration. Some breeds require extra care than other dog breeds. Dogs like poodles or show dogs may spend a little more time in grooming centers than you do. There are also dogs that need daily grooming to keep their furs well maintained. Take time to research about the breed that you want. Check the dog’s temperament, size, and also grooming requirements before you make a choice. Researching those important information will surely save you a lot of time and avoid any problem in taking care of the dog. It's only fair to the dog you picked that you be ready for the dog’s basic needs, plus provide the love and attention that only you and your family can give.

The quality of your staff induction plans says more about your managerial style and company culture than you think. At its simplest, employees work harder for companies that care for them, and hard working employees keep customers happy, bringing money into the company. You put loads of effort into attracting and retaining customers ? can you say the same about your new employees?

Staff induction plans can range from pitiful, or downright boring, to effective ways to harness the enthusiasm and energy of your new employee.

Pitiful Induction Plans = Dis-heartened Employees

At the pitiful end of the spectrum, a new starter will be lucky to have a workspace waiting for them and maybe a couple of people say hello as they begin their new career. Why would this person bother to work hard when it's obvious the manager and company don't care about them?

Mediocre Induction Plans = Bored Senseless Employees

Okay, so you've got the message you've got to put some effort into a staff induction plan. At this point resist the temptation to dust off company annual accounts, health and safety folders and other weighty, detailed information.

Information overload will dull the senses and de-energise quicker than you can say ?the company had an outstanding 9.73% year on year growth in pre tax profit in 2004?. Yawn!

Effective Induction Plans = Engaged, Enthusiastic Employee

So what is an effective staff induction plan? If all you remember is that your new person is a human being, with all the associated wants and needs, you will do well. No matter how senior, a new person will have concerns about fitting in or their ability to do the job, worry about getting lost or looking stupid.

Help them relax and engage in their new surroundings by addressing these concerns BEFORE you start on the company indoctrination, oops, I mean induction :>)

7 Top Staff Induction Plan Tips

Here are some important tips or actions you may not see on regular induction plans;

- Show location of food, drink and bathrooms as a top priority.

- Have an expenses paid team lunch on first day.

-Tell existing employees about the new person, and encourage them to stop by and say hello.

- Provide an organisation chart and office seating plan, to help make sense of the blur of people, names and departments.

- Have all security and passes ready and waiting.

- Advance book next 6 months review, team and other regular meetings.

- Have a trusted team member explain the unwritten rules and subtleties of office politics.

Staff induction plans set the tone of the relationship between employee and employer. With thought and a small amount of prior organisation, you can get the relationship off to a flying start by using an effective staff induction plan.
