[G236]Getting Ur Ex Back
by Sandra Stammberger, San
Breaking up can sometimes open our eyes to appreciate the beauty of the relationship. However, there are times that we feel we are to be blamed for our failed relationships. That is why, we long to have our ex back to fix things and bring the good relationship back.

There are a lot of ways on how to get your ex back and these are not as difficult as you may think. Oftentimes, doing things that will attract your ex back and avoid doing what drove him or her away pretty much work a lot. However, there are times that it is just not enough. Here are a few great tips on how to get your ex back and keep a better relationship with them.

The Don'ts

Let us start with the things that you should avoid when it comes to getting back your ex. First and foremost, never chase your ex. Bombarding them with a lot of phone calls, messages through friends, emails and other tricks just so you can get their attention will only lead to one thing?they will start fearing you. And this will only lessen your chances of comeback.

Another thing to avoid is to stalk your ex. Forcing them or ambushing them just to see you will only make everything else worse and then people will start to label you a ?stalker? thus making it difficult for you to make new friends or interact with other people again.

You should not be very depressed about the situation. A lot of girls are guilty of this. Being depressed will only cause your other areas of life to suffer such as your studies, your career, your dealings with other people and you do not want that to happen.

Finally, just because you have a problem does not mean you should avoid socializing with other people. You will only be punishing yourself that way. Remember that there is a lot in store for you out there and there are still so many good things to come. Prove to your ex that you are a strong person and your breakup is not something you would be dwelling on so much.

The Do's

Sometimes relationships fail because the other party doesn't put much value into the relationship as well as to the other party involved. If this is the case, then the best thing to do first after a breakup is to create more value for yourself. For example, meeting people from the opposite sex and being open to the possibility of a new relationship.

Though it may still hurt, staying in touch with your ex might just do the trick. However, staying in touch does not mean overdoing it like stalking them or chasing them. If you are still comfortable talking with him or her, then it would be nice if you can keep in touch through sms or email. Doing this can give a hint that there is a way for you to get back together and you will also get to remind each other of how good it was being together.

Makeovers are really well-liked after breakups. If you feel that you have been neglecting yourself too much then it is time to start grooming yourself and do a makeover. This will create a better feeling about yourself and eventually, your ex will feel it too.

These are just a few good tips in order to attract your ex back. But most of all, you should remain confident about yourself, it is something that attracts other people and once your ex feels that confidence, he or she will eventually get attracted to you again.

There are a lot of things you may instinctively want to do when you partner breaks up with you, but it's important to your future that you choose your actions carefully. The reactions you may naturally do may not necessarily be the best ones, and in fact they usually aren't...so I'm going to help you out with a few tips.

A lot of the things that may seem like second nature to you in such an upsetting event are really not going to help you out very much. Really, more than anything your natural reactions will severely hurt your chances of getting back together with your ex...and obviously that's a little counter-productive. Here are the biggest thinsg that should be considered "no-no's."

1) Rushing immediately to try to convince your ex to take you back. This is a classic blunder that we've almost all fallen into. Sometimes it doesn't kill you, but usually it's a really bad idea. If your ex JUST broke up with you, he or she is probably still MAD at you...and does NOT want to talk to you right now. Best thing to do is to give BOTH of you some space from each other and back off a bit till things have cooled off.

2) Thinking that it's your ex's fault. If you got dumped, the problem's with you. I know that sounds harsh and you probably hate me right now, but keep reading. Chalk this breakup up to a learning experience, and use it to figure out what you're doing wrong...and FIX it! So you have some issues to work out, work them out! A soulcrushing breakup can be the best thing to happen to you in your life, if only you use it as fuel to give yourself a needed renovation.

3) Winning the battle and thinking the war is over. All of your hard work getting your ex back can all be erased if you fall back into your old habits once you're back together. The changes you made to yourself and your behavior are going to have to stick, or else you'll start doing the same things that drove your partner away before...and with the same result.

4) Hitting the gas too fast on the reunion process. Every person involved in a breakup is hurting...it's critical not to take things too quickly, or you run the very serious risk of pushing too hard and making your ex withdraw even more from you. Obviously this is NOT in your interest, so try to take things at a pace that suits your ex. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

There are more than just these four items that you should be careful of, but this is a good start. Most of this stuff is really common sense, but not everything comes naturally and easily. Things that may at first seem like a good idea, or like the only idea, aren't always the best idea. Just remember to think all things through with a calm mind. This is too important to risk on poor judgement.

Remember at all times that there are a lot of feelings flying around in a breakup, and not just your own. Your ex is going to be hit with this big mass of emotions and confusion as well, so it's important not to push them too far or they'll become unreachable. Go easy on your ex, it's really the only way to get him/her back.
