[F916]Frs Healthy Energy Drink
by Kristi Ambrose, Kri
By now we know which products are good for us and which aren't, or so I hope. For example, dark chocolate has now been proven to be great for you, and things like Ephedrine and ephedrine type products have been proven to do more harm than help. I don't know about you but, I'm constantly looking for more things that are good tasting yet healthy for me to take. Recently I found a few products that are good both beneficial to your health, inexpensive, and they taste good, so I wanted to just share a few of these products with you along with some information about the products such as benefits, ingredients, and "in the news" type deals.

The Healthy Energy Drink by DrinkAct is located at CashPeter, this company was established in 2005 by Paul Gravette and Mark McKnight as a web-based energy drink company. DrinkAct is full of vitamins, sugarless, healthy and inexpensive. This product not only is an energy drink but also a weight loss type of drink. The main ingredient is Epigallocatchin gallate also known as EGCG which is a main ingredient in green tea, which is said to have antioxidant attributes which get rid of free radicals that cause cell damage. Also, because it has green tea in it this makes it naturally decaffeinated. See this drink doesn't hop you up and then make you crash like other drinks, it efficiently increases your energy without all the nasty side affects of other drinks. This product also contains guarana which is almost the same type of ingredient that is in chocolate. Needless to say this is the perfect drink if you're looking to try something different but something that's also going to benefit you health wise!

Stevia Drink Mix is placed as number two but a darn close number one. I have a personal love for Stevia it contains no sugar, zero calories, zero sugar, zero fat, no sodium and no carbs. Stevia is made from the Stevia plant which is known to be a beneficial natural food grade herb. It is hundreds of times sweeter than sugar, but does not adversely affect normal blood sugar levels. Of course it also doesn't have anything beneficial necessarily but it does taste good it's not bad for you like other sugary "health" drinks and it's inexpensive. By the way sugary and health drinks? They shouldn't even be in the same sentence! Ingredients for the Stevia drink include Citric Acid, Fumaric Acid, Stevia Rebaudiana (Bertoni), Tartaric Acid, Natural Flavorings, and Natural Color, nothing fake about this guy! Do some research on Stevia, so you can see the full benefits!

Fortune Delight is made without any sugar, artificial ingredients, isolated chemicals or sweetener of any kind. Fortune Delight is a flavorful replacement for sodas, sugary vitamin waters, and high caffeine energy drinks. Plus, this herbal formula enhances the benefits of drinking plain water with natural antioxidants from whole food ingredients. Unlike most fake, enhanced vitamin waters, with Fortune Delight you get vital nutrients from nature, not synthetic, isolated vitamins or minerals manufactured in a lab. Natural antioxidants, like those in Fortune Delight, help the body fight premature aging by absorbing free radicals that can cause cell damage as you get older.

So, those are my top threes. I can't possibly be sure if I would even add more to the list, simply because I know the drinks listed above very well. The first one got awesome reviews and is a true health drink. The Stevia one in general got good reviews but Stevia has been a product known to people for a long time that don't want to use unhealthy refined sugars but want a sweet taste added to their drinks. And the fortune delight was actually recommended to me by the same person that recommended the Stevia product which was Dr. Young who makes the super greens (also an amazing product). Now as always you can view reviews online by simply checking out your favorite search engine and doing a product search. Be wary when you do this, however, because everyone is competition against everyone else. Use common sense where you can. If 500 people say type A drink is healthful and 1 person says it's not, who do you think is the honest participant?!?

Healthy Energy drinks are regularly publicized these days and appear to be all over the place. This is not so astonishing given the truth that energy drinks are supposed to provide anyone the boost of energy that they need for a certain period of time. Energy drinks come in varying blends and with different ingredients but almost all of them have one ingredient - or rather two ingredients - in common: Sugar and Caffeine. Energy drinks come in all different tastes, sizes, and flavors and are appealing to just about anyone. It is apparent that energy drinks are indeed Power boosters. However, to be able to determine why it is capable of generating the needed amount of energy, it is significant to look at some of the ingredients that are obtainable in the average energy drink.
1. Caffeine: we are all very familiar with caffeine and its effects on the body. When taken in the right quantities and with milk in coffee, it can indeed be an energy booster and increase your energy levels tremendously. Caffeine is also readily found in drinks like Coke, and Pepsi which you will agree can act as short term energy boosting drinks. While the caffeine available in the average Pepsi bottle and a cup of coffee is still acceptable, the amount of caffeine in the average energy drink is way beyond the normal requirements. Medical experts recommend between 200-300 milligrams of caffeine per day. But energy drinks have way too much caffeine content -about 280 milligrams per bottle- which is what influences the sudden burst of energy.
2. Guarana: This is similar to caffeine in a sense but diverse in function and in concentration. It is not promptly found in all energy drinks. However , it has enough stimulant properties to increase your energy levels. Guarana is not very popular among us here in the West, though it has its origins in South America.
3. Sugar: I am certain you took a little of it today. A lot of energy drinks are loaded with sugar which is healthy when taken modestly. But in excess quantities is accountable for increased weight, large calorie content in the body and excess fat.
4. Gingko Biloba: This herb has become more popular with time and was initially brought into limelight by ayurvedic experts and alternative therapists who were recommending it for the alleviation of stress in many emotionally stressed and depressed people. It functions by stimulating the brain to release some hormones that are released into the bloodstream to eliminate the stress causing agents in the body.
5. Ginseng: This herb has become popular in posh times alongside Gingko Biloba. It is recognised for its ability to reduce the stress levels in the body and freeing up an individual's power level.
6. Antioxidants: The average drink also contains antioxidants which help get rid of the free radicals available in the body as a result of normal cellular functions. However, there is still some controversy surrounding the effects of the antioxidants in energy drinks in contrast to those naturally available in fruits.
Anyway, these are a few of the components of energy drinks and are mostly what causes the energy boost. One thing must be noted though: energy drinks are not the ideal solution to reduced energy levels. A fit lifestyle with good nutrition is a solution. And, a healthy energy drink that is actually a nutritional supplement can assist with increasing energy levels.
