[G61]Gavin Rossdale Love Remains The Same Lyrics
by Alexa Evans, Ale

Gavin Rossdale climbed to fame when he appeared on MTV's “Spring Break” way back in 1996 and performed his band Bush's hot song, “Glycerine.” Everyone seemed to take notice of Rossdale, with his exceptionally good looks and his “regular guy” appearance. He has always succeeded in playing the role of normalcy, even when his career took off and his fame skyrocketed. The dressed-down rock star, though, likely had no idea what the future had in store for him. Now, the former Bush frontman is married to No Doubt's leading lady, Gwen Stefani, and the pair have two children together. Even though they maintain superstar status, Rossdale and Stefani seem to exude normalcy as they set up house and settle in to raise a family.

Gavin Rossdale was born in London and initially started out his career modeling. After a few lessons on the bass, however, he was hooked. As a teenager he played in several different small bands, the last of which was called the Future Primitive, which was formed in 1992. Future Primitive would change its name in 1994 to Bush.

Bush released their promo album called Sixteen Stone, which focused mostly post-grunge rock. It was an enormous success, mostly in the U.S., where the band journeyed for a highly publicized album in support of their recent work. Fans loved Rossdale, with his raspy, deep voice and his stream of consciousness-style lyrics. Sixteen Stone spawned several hit songs that made an impact on the U.S. charts. Tunes like “Comedown” and “Glycerine” helped propel the album to its high status. Unfortunately, none of their later albums achieved the same success as their debut and Bush disbanded in 2002.

Rossdale pursued his own musical ambitions after the breakup of Bush by forming the band Institute. Their first album achieved some moderate success with one of the songs, “Bullet Proof Skin” eventually featured in the motion picture Stealth. The band did not last long, however and Rossdale turned to acting, appearing in Constantine, Zoolander and The Game of Their Lives.

In the mid-2000s, Rossdale started work on a new solo album and one of his first solo songs became the theme song to the television show Drive. In 2008, the first single from the record WANDERlust, “Love Remains the Same,” was released, and it made the number 27 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. He is planning a solo tour for early 2009. Check out his upcoming tour dates and be sure to get your own Gavin Rossdale tickets.

Rossdale and Stefani married in 2002 and have always remained determined to keep their relationship out of the public eye. He has stated on numerous occasions that having a stable environment for his family was extremely important to him. The couple welcomed their first child, Kingston James McGregor Rossdale, in May 2006 and more recently welcomed their second son, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, in August 2008.

Gavin Rossdale is making a comeback in the rock music world, his first since the days of Bush. Get your Gavin Rossdale tickets at http://www.stubhub.com/gavin-rossdale-tickets.
