[H658]Hot Air Balloon Adventure
by Susan Dean, Sus
If you are a romantic at heart or perhaps an adventurer then let me tell you that hot air balloons are for you! Just imagine yourself and your special partner soaring high overhead in the early hours of the morning or at dusk watching the sunrise or the sunset while sipping champagne in a beautiful balloon. Ahh.. Now doesn't that sound lovely? Imagine the breath taking views as you hold hands and savor the moment together.

These balloon rides are so popular these days that many people even get married in them. Now that's romantic! But of course hot air balloons are not just for the romantic but many adventurers enjoy this experience also. I mean it is an adventure to be flying in the air in a basket with only a hot air balloon holding you up there. An Adventure it may be, but I assure you it is safe. Things have come a long way since the first balloon had taken to the air in 1783. Passengers have changes since then as well seeing the first passengers were animals!

Not much has changed other than that though as you still use a basket, a burner and a balloon or envelope. The burner is used to utilize propane gas to fill the balloon with hot air so it can rise and obviously the basket is to transport people. The driver regulates the propane gas to allow him to control going up and down. Unfortunately the weather plays a major part in ballooning and an expedition may be cancelled if the weather does not suit. It will also make a difference with where you land and this is one of the reasons why you have a chase crew following you. This chase crew will be there to collect the equipment and the passengers once the flight is over.

Hot air balloons have become so popular that now there is even conventions where ballooning enthusiasts from all over the world collectively get together and show off their creations. You will see the usual style amongst many different weird and wonderful shapes and designs. And of course they all work extremely safely as well. It's a great place to take the family to share in this experience.

If you are interested in taking a flight in one of these fabulous machines then check out your local area or check out somewhere where you would like to see and find out if there are any hot air balloons doing business there. Make sure the controller has all the qualifications needed to fly, as there are strong regulations that have to be followed these days. Ask about your rights if there are cancellations because of weather problems before paying.

Once you have decided to go through with a ride then remember to take your camera or video camera so you can record everything. Take a coat incase it is chilly up there and sunglasses and a hat are always a good idea. Remember, once you are up there you can't run back to the car to retrieve something that you forgot. So make sure that you are organized so you can really enjoy the experience of a lifetime.
