There are many types of rides that you can find at Northern California amusement parks, including thrill rides, train rides and water rides. Rides are definitely not the only type of entertainment that is available at any of the amusement parks in Northern California. Other attractions are available such as wild animal viewing, live shows with sea creatures, interactive activities, entertainment for adults and kids, beautiful gardens, delicious food and shopping. The rides at a Paramount Park or any other amusement park in California are definitely one of the most popular attractions, though. Northern California amusement parks have many different types of thrill rides. Some of the most common are the enterprise, tilt-a-whirl, gravitron, chair swing, swinging inverter ship, twister, and top spin. Amusement parks in Northern California are constantly coming up innovative new variations on ways to spin and throw passengers around, though, in an effort to keep attracting customers. The earliest park trains were mostly custom built by manufacturers such as Allan Herschfield, Cagney Brothers, Chance Rides (C.P. Huntington), Crown Metal Products, Custom Locomotives, Miniature Train Co. (MTC), The National Amusement Devices Co. (NAD), Ottaway, Sandley and Tampa Metal Products. Trains have had long and varied history in amusement parks in Northern California, as well as all over the United States and overseas, although the earliest park trains weren't really trains - they were trolleys. Water rides might not have as long of a history, but nowadays most modern amusement parks with water resources generally feature a few water rides such as the log flume, bumper boats and rowing boats. Such rides are usually gentler and shorter than roller coasters and many are suitable for all ages. Paramount Park water rides are especially popular on hot Northern California days. This is just a sampling of the types of rides that are available at Northern California amusement parks. With so much constant innovation, there are even new categories appearing that no one ever expected. Amusement park goers have more options than ever in Northern California and all over the world.
My family and I recently had a fantastic adventure housed inside metal buildings. Metal buildings hosted a large amount of interactive games, rides and entertainment. I was amazed by how quickly our perspectives changed when we entered one ride in particular. It was a ride called Ride Along with E.T. (you know, the movie from the 80s). To take the ride, we sat on these bikes that looked just like the ones Elliot and E.T. rode off into the moonlight on in the movie. We did not have to pedal the bikes, though. As soon as we entered the first of the series of metal buildings, it was dark and we were enveloped in a forest. It felt like a Fall night and the smell of pine trees enveloped us. We could see stars too. Our bikes zoomed us through the woods, over the town and passed the gigantic full moon. We felt just like Elliot. All in a bunch of metal buildings. It makes sense that metal buildings are such a staple at amusement parks everywhere. A metal building can be assembled by a few untrained people without unusual tools and equipment. Companies that sell such buildings include a manual and a set of floorplans. This allows you to pour the concrete foundation ahead of time. The buildings can be assembled on the ground. You raise the basic structure, and secure it to the foundation. The other pieces can be added once that is done and your building is then finished. It all just takes less that a week and a few good friends to help out. Metal buildings have advantages over traditional structures, other than just the simplicity of assembly. They are a lot cheaper to build than traditional buildings. The design of most metal buildings offers a very efficient use of space; there is little space inside that cannot be used. You do not have to worry about maintaining the roof, cleaning gutters or painting the structure. Metal buildings stand up to severe weather and fire like no traditional structure. All parts of metal buildings can be used again or recycled and their construction does not involve any wood, so you can pat yourself on the back by saving some trees. Termites, of course, do not even look at a metal structure. Amusement parks may use metal buildings for fun and entertainment, but the rest of the world finds the buildings useful for the same durable and economical reasons. Auto shops, boat yards, airports, and warehouses are some of the commercial business that use metal buildings. Residentially, they are used for garages and workshops. You can buy plane tickets to an adventure park in a warm climate with all the cost savings of a metal building. Plus, you can leave it behind and not worry about the maintenance.
