Scotty Nguyen, also known as "The Train" and "The Prince of Poker", was born in Nha Trang, Vietnam in 1962 and escaped from the Communists when he was 14 years old. He spent his first year in the United States living in Chicago and then moved to California where he grew up. Instead of focusing on his school work, he spent a great deal of time learning to play Poker.
Scotty is sometimes known as "one of the most admired professional Poker players in the world as well as one of the most moneyed".

He is also known as one of the most aggressive Poker players with a great deal of confidence. He is very active and from the years 2000 to 2004, he finished in the money in more than 100 events.
Scotty Nguyen's history making comment: During the World Series of Poker in 1998 in the final hand when Scotty was playing against Kevin McBride, there was a full house on the board. Scotty told McBride ? "You call this one and it's all over, baby!"
What happened was that McBride did in fact call since he thought that the full house showing on the board would give him half the pot. However, Scotty had a nine in his hand that gave him a larger full house.

As of this writing, Scotty Nguyen has won in excess of $5,920,000 in live Tournament play. Like many other Poker stars, Scotty makes his home in Las Vegas.
Born in Langhorne, Pennsylvania in the year 1981, Scott Fischman and his family relocated to South Jersey, where Scott spent his earliest years before the family moved to Las Vegas in 1992. Scott's interest in poker came about after he was introduced to the game by a school chum. His infatuation and desire was immediate, and by the age of twenty-one had begun his career as a poker dealer at the Sahara, shortly afterwards moving to the Mirage. His promising career was curtailed by an arthritic condition which stiffened his hands and curtailed his ability to deal, but did not handicap Scott as a card player. And what a player this youngster has become!
Scott entered his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) Tournament in 2004, and, only twenty-three years old, he emerged from that tournament with no less than two WSOP bracelets, the youngest player ever to accomplish that feat in a WSOP tourney.
Scott's first bracelet was won at No-Limit Hold 'em, and the second bracelet at the difficult H.O.R.S.E.. It took the likes of a canny veteran like Doyle Brunson to knock Scott out of the main event. Scott went all-in with Ace-King, but Doyle had pocket Kings.
Not one to discourage easily, Scott added still another feather to his championship cap that same year (2004), winning The World Poker Tour Young Guns Of Poker Invitational Event. And the following year Scott nearly won a third WSOP bracelet in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold 'em event, finishing second to Allen Cunningham.
Scott remains active in poker environs other than his live tournament activities. He is generous with advice to other players who can access his knowledge through Card Player Magazine, or online at www.cardplayer.com. You can also play online poker with Scott on www.thefishtank.com and downloading the software.
