I have a solid job but it doesn't pay enough money to furnish me with much disposable income. So I needed to find ways to cut corners anyway conceivable. I started to visit flee markets to ascertain many miscellaneous items for decorating my pad.
I also searched through clearance bins and collected as many coupons as I could for department stores. I was quickly finding things that are my style and saving dozens of cash. Another important part of my living place is recreation.
I am not big on music, but I am big on watching television. I knew I had to invest in a good TV if I invested in anything. I was even ready to eat bread and butter every night for a month so I could gather up enough cash for an HDTV.
I am not a typical early 20 year old who just places everything I can't afford on a credit card. Instead, I will make sacrifices so I can pay for what I require with cash. After I saved enough money, I called the satellite company to see how much per month I would have to pay to have HD service.
The cable company said that it would be around $10 more a month. I budgeted it into my financial situation and left the apartment to buy my first HDTV. When I arrived at the electronics store, all of the HDTVs overwhelmed me.
I knew I didn't want a gigantic tv but I wanted one that was big enough. While I was looking around, I couldn't believe the HD pictures on the televisions. They were so sharp and I could hardly wait to get it in my apartment so I could watch my most favorite shows in HD.
I decided on a 46 inch because it seemed to be large enough for my bedroom. It looks wonderful against my back wall. I was even able to organize my furnishings perfectly around it so when all my buddies come to visit everyone can see what I have on.
I am even planning a huge get-together for all of my buddies at work. The primary feature will be some good taco's and a film on my wonderful brand new HD television.
For my birthday this year, my parents bought me a nice TV for my dorm room. I know, I am really fortunate to have such wonderful parents. My roommate is just as fortunate to have a roommate who has provided him with a major HDTV to observe during our late nights of studying or partying, whichever the circumstance may be at the time.
The only difficulty I found was that I couldn't afford the cable monthly charge for high definition channels. My parents told me if they bought me the TV, I would have to handle the expenditure of getting the high definition channels, if I so prefer. Of course, I need high caliber picture, why wouldn't I? I was researching a story one night and drifted off onto several sites talking about antennas.
I couldn't conceive what I was reading because it was like I had struck gold or something. It was that great. The antennas provide you with signals so you don't have to use your cable provider to acquire the signals. I thought this was awesome but I didn't truly know where I would put an antenna in a dorm room. I started thinking about it and kept reading online.
Eventually, I found something that would succeed in my room. There is a high definition picture frame. Uncanny, I know. You can put a picture in the frame, hang it on your wall and it receives a communication for high quality channels. I bought it and tried it out. It wasn't costly at all so I didn't have to worry about spending a significant chunk out of my savings.
I am glad that I did decide to buy it because I am so cheerful with it and needed to let everyone know it, especially other college students. We don't have a lot of money but we still deserve to have a pleasant television to view. We study hard and require a stress release. Now my roommate and I have many of the best channels acquirable now.
We drop way too much time in front of my television but it's fine. Another thing I figured out while doing my research is that after Feb 17, 2009, I wouldn't be able to view my tv without the high definition package from my cable company because all broadcasters will be required to send out these signals only. Now, I am all set for the switch and can maintain to observe with no problems now and in the approaching.
