[I41]I Love My Friends And Family
by Devon Brown, Dev
Well...Good luck

Let's be real here for just a second. Contacting your friends and family doesn't cost
you a dime, so as far as advertising costs are concerned you can't beat it.

I have to be really honest for a second and mention the fact that ideally this is the
way that it' supposed to be.

But the problem is that most of the people in our society are so against mlm
(mostly because they don't understand it) that they don't even want to hear your pitch,
or listen to a call.

Does the following sound familiar to you?

You approach your friend or family member and you're all excited about your new
opportunity. They say to you:

"Mike, I thought the last thing you drug me into was supposed to be the next big thing"
or
"Sara, call me when you make some money"
or
"Come one Devon, when are you going to stop doing these things...you need a 12 step program!"
(One of my best friends actually said this to me)

Friends and family are always the first ones to tell us why we are going to fail,
or why our opportunity won't work.

Friends and family are always quick to tell everyone else our what's going on with us
just so if/when we fail they can throw it back in our faces and say "see, I told you so"

Friends and Family have a tendency of taking our excitement and bringing it down
about 10 levels.

Sure, they mean well (more often than not) but the reality is that if everyone thought
like they did then no one would be rich.

I don't understand why they are always so negative.

I remember one night I went showed up at "guy's poker night" and just the day
before I made the mistake earlier of telling one of my friends that I was working on
something new.

It took less than 2 minutes before everyone was giving me crap.

I walk into the room and immediately one of my friends (who I really don't
tell anything to) said to me:

?So Devon...how's the new get rich quick scam coming along?

Lesson learned!

My suggestion to you is simply this...

Make your money, buy a new car, and when they ask you about it then you tell them how
you were able to pay cash for it

That should shut them up.

The other reason I say don't bother with friends and family is because there are
literally tens of thousands of people who are interested in finding a way to make
extra money.

If you become an effective marketer, then reaching people who are actually interested
will become much easier. And trust me; it's always easier to ?sell? someone who is
actually looking for what you have to offer.

What I'm really saying is that if your friends and family are historically negative then
do yourself a favor and just stay away from them.

However, if you have a strong network of people who you can approach who wont beat you up
or call you stupid...then by all means approach them...heck...if nothing else, IT'S FREE ;-)
