[A696]Article In A Book
by Craig Fenton, Cra
What if we could turn something that may be gathering dust into a beneficial tool for your writing arsenal? It is very possible that you may not feel a specific page for a book or a paragraph for an article should see the light of day in current form but what about a segment? Maybe even one line that is currently in a Word Document can enhance a current project or something down the road.

Let's take a hypothetical but very realistic scenario. You wrote an article about marketing a blog. After reviewing the contents it was your feeling it didn't have the words jump off the page and offer a sizzling text for the reader. Fair enough. That doesn't mean the delete button has to be in your future. Examine the article again. Is there some line or phrase that is stupendous? You may have used an analogy that could gather the attention of the masses if it became part of a better paragraph. Maybe something along the lines of "The newcomer often spends so much money monetizing their blog that they already have offers from Washington for a bail out."

You don't have to take about valuable space on the computer. If you have a scanner and the ability to record a Data CD you can store what will appear to be an infinite amount fo material on one Compact Disc.

Use the scanner to be able to put all the unused articles, blog posts, book pages, etc. to load them onto the computer. After you have all the material saved in a convenient location, the next move is to use any recording software to preserve what you have scanned and what is already stored on the computer. The Data CD gives the ability to record audio, video, photos, documents. If you avoid any audio and video you can get several books worth of material on the disc. It will be handy for future reference if you need a paragraph, quote, or a few words. It also will make comparing the blog entry or article you wish to submit with the unreleased one much easier.

With the ease of Compact Disc's and how little space they require nobody will call you a pack rat.
