[I271]Infertility In Men Causes
by Dean Caporella, Dea
Men can be responsible for up to 50% of cases; about 30% directly and 20% indirectly. These figures may shock many people but infertility in men is a real issue and there are several factors which can lead to a man being infertile.

Varicocele

Varicocele is regarded as the most common cause. It's a group of enlarged and dilated veins, much like varicose veins however, it occurs in the spermatic chord in the scrotum. Varicocele is the prevention of effective blood flow from testicles which in turn causes swelling in the veins warming the testicles.

It reportedly affects almost one in two men with fertility issues. Signs include a dull aching sensation in the testes region while a feeling of heaviness in that region can also be a sign that all may not be right.

Other Causes Of Male Infertility

The first course of action for men who suspect they may be experiencing fertility issues is to see their doctor. A semen analysis is performed in fact, two will usually be required before any diagnosis can be made.

While varicocele is the main culprit in infertility for men, other factors need to be considered. Smoking, drug abuse, exercise, stress and bad nutrition can all play their part.

Smoking has been proven in recent research to lower a man's sperm count and motility. If you smoke and are having issues with conception then consider this as a possible cause.

Drug abuse can play a major role over time while some forms of medications such as antibiotics may increase the chances of male infertility.

Exercise

Yes, in most cases exercise is good for you but for men struggling with fertility issues, excessive exercise can play a major role in heating the area of the scrotum which can lead to a low quality sperm count. Excessive exercise also cause stress on the body and jumping into a sauna or spa following a workout will only increase the heat issue.

Nutrition should be a strong consideration. High intake of vitamin C is considered helpful however, a more sensible approach would be to look for a more balanced intake of antioxidants and vitamins.

Stress levels other than those caused by over-exercising should never be discounted. If you're experiencing some form of stress in your life then consider it could be having a major effect.

The issue of infertility in men can be a combination of factors and most of the ones mentioned above can be rectified over time.

Infertility is a condition that is more often than not blamed on the woman, in case a couple fails to reproduce after successive attempts. To be honest, the term blame cannot be said to be correct, for the fact that it is not immoral to be infertile nor is it something that is against the law. It can at best be said to be an exception, but a rare one. It is very natural to reproduce. Infact the preliminary intention of two living beings mating is the purpose of reproduction, be it human beings or the animals, or even the plants. The idea of pleasure and satisfaction derived from the sexual activity though very important, at least in today's scheme of things, is only secondary to the primary objective of multiplying.

The female of almost every living being bear the babies. You must be wondering why I am using the term almost. Well some recent Discovery Channel programs have enlightened me on the fact that in certain species that live in the world under the sea, the task of delivering the babies is done by the males! Lucky males, aren't they? But coming back to my discussion, I was trying to drive home the point that as in the living world and also in the human society, the women are entrusted with the task of carrying and delivering the babies. Hence in case a couple fails in this very important criteria, the women is thought to be responsible, given all the curses in the world and done away with. The male will have the opportunity of sleeping with another woman and try his luck!

I am not saying that in all the cases of infertility the man is only responsible. No. That is not my point. My point is, nowadays, men are as much responsible for infertility as the women. In the earlier times though, it was the women who were blamed. People were not enlightened and educated in the medical field. They applied layman's knowledge in assuming the fact that it is the women's fault if a couple is not having babies and also the women is responsible for the sex of the baby. These kinds of thinkings can be excused pertaining to the fact that the people were then illiterate. But what can be said about today's society. Even today, in many parts of the world the woman is suffering either because she is not being able to conceive or because she is delivering girl child. What kind of excuse will be enough to justify this kind of inhuman and illogical behaviour? No excuse. Absolutely nothing can certify crimes against women in the world today. Especially when there are persistent attempts by various organizations to educate people even in the rural areas regarding the topics related to sex and sexual health.

Another condition of a man that can cause difficulty in having a successful sexual intercourse is technically known as erectile dysfunction and commonly impotence. But men suffering from this ailment can now get treatment. You can , cialis or viagra and get rid of ED. Levitra pills are easily available everywhere. You can even . Since are many it is important to get one self checked by a doctor to identify the correct reason of one's problem.
