Is it fusing plastic into my body?
These are the common misconception that the industry
faces. Cosmetic surgery is becoming more
of an acceptable option for altering oneself.
Whereas diet is the best form, and the safest, to alter oneself, plastic
surgery is a viable option. A few of the
last trends in dieting include: Weight
Watchers, Jenny Craig, ,
and many others. There are even weight
loss applications that are designed for the , that will track your calorie intake as you go through your
day. Parents are even faced with the
ideas of their teenage daughters wanting breast augmentation surgery for
graduation gifts.
So what is the next phase of the plastic surgery
industry? Cosmetic surgeries can be as
drastic as face lifts, and as simple as Botox injections. With more and more people looking into liposuction,
and other forms of self-improvement, the sky is the limit for this
industry. Doctor's who specialize in
these fields, find themselves becoming more and more prominent. Years ago, they may have had a hard time
finding people willing to undergo such treatments. What the most common trends
indicate is that there are more and more people wanting, and even saying that
they need cosmetic surgery. With Hollywood
actors and actresses who are pushing their 40s, 50s, and 60s, and looking great
while doing it, the common layman or woman feel that they need to keep up with
the Jones?. It seems as though people
are aiming for the ?20s? look. That
magical age where everything is great, relationships are hot, and people are
new and exciting. Teenagers want to look
21, and 40 year olds want to look 25.
There is a constant pull to be something that you are not, and to change
who you are. If you think about it in a
future sense, everyone is pulling to be something that they see. Everyone is pulling to be the same thing, and
what will happen when we all look the same.
That will happen then, will people want plastic surgery to make
themselves look uncommon? The answer
will only be found in time.
