If you're looking for an undetectable weave that will give you outstanding versatility and options for styling, then look no further than a full head weave. A full head weave is a weave in which all of the hair is cornrowed, and tracks are then sewn in to the cornrows to create a natural look. Since the hair will be braided for a long period of time, it's best to moisturize the scalp before starting your full head weave. Make sure the hair is washed and dried as well. The first thing you will do is part the hair around the perimeter of the head starting at the neck and finishing in almost the same place. Make your parts in the front as small as possible for a less detectable full head weave. Once you have finished your part, cornrow with synthetic hair. Do this until you reach the top of the head and aren't able to part the hair around the perimeter anymore. You now have a beehive pattern for your cornrows, which will be very helpful when it's time to apply the tracks. When you have reached the top part of the head and are left with a small piece that you can't part anymore, split it down the middle and braid out from the head. This new braid is very small and will coil nicely within your cornrows. Once you've coiled the braid into the cornrows, sew it down for a secure hold. You may want to stitch the top few cornrows to make sure everything is secure since you don't want your cornrows to unravel. When all of the hair is secured, attach your closure in the desired position by stitching around the outside of the piece. The first track you will apply will be on the first cornrow you made at the nape of the neck. Measure the track from ear to ear and sew the track onto the cornrow. Cut any of the excess track that may be remaining. Your next part will be in a 'U'-shaped pattern, from temple to temple. Continue in this manner until you can't apply the wefts in a 'U' shape anymore. Reaching the top can be scary, but if you take your time, your full head weave will turn out great. When you can't apply the tracks in a 'U' shape, apply them in an 'L' shape, alternating sides until you reach the closure piece. Try to get your tracks as close as possible to the closure piece on either side. You may still have a little piece in the back that hasn't been covered by the tracks. If so, take this time to apply one or two small tracks to cover this additional space. You may notice that your weave looks a little messy when you're finished. This is totally normal and can be corrected with a little TLC. Brush out any tangles or bumps with a vented brush and part the hair to cover any tracks that could be visible. To combat pouf, use some foaming wrap or setting lotion to work through the pouf. If the hair is wet, wrap the hair with a barbering strip and dry for 10-15 minutes under a commercial dryer. Once the hair is dry, you can tame the hair and work with it to achieve the style desired. This is also a good time to add any finishing touches, like a cut and/or style. Caring for your new full head weave is easy! Just treat it like you would treat your normal hair.
