Well recession has done its bit to everyone big or small and in this situation everyone is looking for ways to save money whether it be from grocery bills or car payment or daily expenditure etc. I can definitely help you with one thing in your mission, "your cable bill", will it not be nice to shrink it to nil and then also be able to watch thousands of programs on your pc?
I have a very good reason why you should not miss the best TV shows or movies that are shown on channels just because of the cost of cable TV.
Did you know that it is very much possible that you can watch television channels on your computer, well not to spare live streaming videos along with them. What makes it even more interesting is that you can watch all those favorite shows even when you are out of station as you are now not depending upon your television for those, rather you will just switch on your laptop and get tuned to your favorite one.
These types of services are found on internet by plenty of sites, but most of them charge a regular monthly fee. I will stay away from monthly bills and will guess you will also do the same. Some these site offer as much as the cable TV rents for your computer too as you have purchased the cable itself. But fortunately now you can see TV on your own computer without even paying a monthly fee.
The thing you need to come up with is the right software and that's it. Get started by watching those thousands of streaming TV shows, videos, movies, sports, news and lots more. Anything is possible by this software to watch on the internet.
Image the 2000 channels and more from your pc and without the ransomed monthly bill. This has been possible by software that converts your pc to a TV and operates in Windows system. This is a total freedom over your TV and the monthly bill. The software has the ability to be used in the recent versions of Windows and also gives you the freedom to watch the channels all over the globe.
It is an addition to watching movies and television shows from your own country and TV broadcasts from other countries as well. As an example you can watch soccer if you enjoy it, from all around the world. There are also other sports available like WWE, Boxing, Basketball, Football, Baseball, Cricket and even rally races. When you get this TV on pc software you can also watch news and video form all over the world using it.
The productivity of the satellite is in a doubt because of this software, as you can pick up streaming broadcasts all over the world. You can get everything that you need as entertainment is available on your laptop or pc from the realm of age old square TV box. Broadcast channels are trends of the internet and the number is always increasing. With this great software you can stop searching for them and have them on your fingertips after buying this one.
So this software gets not only over 2000 channels but also leaves you with the convenience of having TV on your own pc without that big monthly fee. By this way you can get rid of the bill and get the real experience of TV in your pc. The best feature of the TV on pc software is the bonus software that reveals how you get FREE games, software and movies on the internet, which saves the money too.
I was speaking with a parent in the school's Guidance room, and she was becoming more and more agitated. She was only too aware of a problem, but not of an answer!
Although she attended her church regularly, she was not keen to speak to her minister about this particular issue.
It was the minister who had made her think. He had spoken at length about how films and TV present us with a constant diet of bickering, low moral standards, lack of respect for elders and so on. The way of life portrayed was anything but uplifting!
As she saw it, this Mum had only two choices: she could turn a blind eye, like lots of people were doing; or she could turn the TV off and forbid the kids to watch these programmes - but that would no doubt make them go elsewhere.
A 'heavy' approach would no doubt cause ructions and spoil any hope of peace in the home. Was there an answer?
This 'moral dilemma' is one that faces all parents in some form or other: how do you stop your kids watching certain TV shows/viewing unsuitable DVDs/taking alcohol or drugs when 'everyone else is doing it? (You can replace the specific 'moral dilemma' with one that affects your family!)
On this occasion, we'll use the TV programmes as an example.
In my experience a heavy approach such as, 'You're not watching that stuff here!', rarely works in the long term.
It's not that I would want to avoid conflict by shrugging my shoulders and saying, 'Oh well, that's the way it is these days. Why rock the boat?'
It's precisely because that's the way it is these days that we must do something about it. But what?
Why don't we talk to our children - in an open and friendly manner - and discuss what we believe is wrong in these programmes? We can't be with our kids everywhere, but they can use their own judgement.
Far better, then, to train them to have high standards.
This can happen by talking about what goes on in these shows.
If a film or DVD is utterly disgusting and brutal, then let's have the courage to ban it from our sets - and tell our kids why! If, however, it is a lifestyle or moral stance that we take exception to, then let's watch it (together?) and discuss the issues later.
The topics that come up will often centre on a lack of respect for family life, for other people and for society and its customs.
Allow the kids to express their views, but, without hectoring or lecturing, have the courage to tell them why you disapprove - and let them see there are healthier alternatives.
By doing this they will be able to question the false values being portrayed, and provided you give good leadership in your own lifestyle, they will be more likely to accept what you say. Next time they're with their friends and you have no access to them, they'll respond positively.
