Chances are that you, as so many others, have a hard time imagining yourself as a person who just randomly attracts money. You might be able to picture yourself finding coins on the street but you don't see how you could be the kind of money magnet that attracts thousands of dollars with very little effort.
Let me put this question on the head, and ask you: Can You be a Debt Magnet? I have a feeling it's a lot easier for you to answer yes to this. Why is that? Why is it easier for you to see yourself attracting debt than money? Being a debt magnet and a money magnet are just opposite sides of the same thing, so why is it easier for you to imagine something negative than something positive?
It's because of the way most of us were trained to think about money. We were taught that money is hard to come by, that money flies out and barely even trickles in. We think that people who seem to be money magnets have something we don't; some talent or at least knowledge that makes them easily attract money to them.
We learn from we are very young that debt is easy to attract and that we always have to prepare for it, otherwise we ca loose everything we have.
Do you see how this way of looking at things doesn't make sense? If you know about the law of attraction, you know that preparing for something equals bringing it about. So in all the ways we try to be sensible and responsible and make sure we are prepared for debt, we are actually bringing it about.
Why is it easier for us to misuse our imagination for bad then it is to use it for good? If you imagine yourself being a money magnet every day and start expecting money to flow to you easily and freely, you will receive money. The key to being a money magnet is to expect money to flow to you. You have no problems imagining a penny coming your way today, have you? So why can you easily see yourself being a money magnet for small amounts but not for large?
The answer is in how you use your imagination. When you are imagining a small amount of money, your logical mind can easily think of many different places where you might find a penny (most of them probably include looking at the ground). Using you imagination on this level allows your logical mind to still keep control and it can easily see this scenario happen.
When you are trying to visualize being a money magnet for larger amounts however, your logical mind has a hard time seeing how it would happen and puts down its foot saying "No way, I can't see that happening." This is where you really need to draw on the power of your mind; you don't attract with your logic, you attract with your imagination.
Have you ever daydreamed of going on an exotic vacation or dating a supermodel? I'm sure you had no problem enjoying your daydreams because your logic wasn't trying to take control because it knew you were only dreaming.
Your challenge is to do the same when you are imagining being a money magnet; you have the power to push your logic away and remind yourself that you don't need to be able to see how it's going to happen; you just need to dream and believe that it will happen.
I came across an extremely simple but interesting technique a short while ago that actually works. It's called 'the wallet technique or 'the money magnet' and it assists you in bringing your mind to a prosperity mindset or consciousness if you prefer by utilizing what money you already have. I'll outline it below shortly but I just wanted to add that it does need to be done regularly if it is to have the desired effect. Performing it once or twice a week isn't enough to get the idea planted firmly and deeply in your sub-conscious. So here it is.
Once you have a hundred dollars or a hundred of whatever currency you have place it into your wallet or purse and carry it around.
If you go past a restaurant acknowledge to yourself that you could afford a meal there if you wanted as you have a hundred dollars on you. As you walk past a nice clothes shop notice something that you could buy with your hundred dollars.
During your daily routine perhaps you notice something in the newspaper or a magazine that you like and could afford with your hundred dollars and acknowledge this to yourself.
As you continue to do this you will realize that you have in effect spent a few thousand because the hundred dollars could buy you many things even though you actually haven't done so. This doesn't matter because imagination is more powerful and potent than we realize. Your brain does not know the difference between something vividly imagined or real so it thinks it has an abundant supply of money.
After a few weeks of doing this regularly you will start to notice, although subtle at first, a difference in your mindset about money. Suddenly out of nowhere you might find some money or someone who owes you money gives it back to you out of the blue or you get a discount or rebate on something. Even some unexpected opportunities may suddenly come to you that you may not have recognized before.
This may sound far fetched but please try it for yourself even if only for three weeks. It won't work in a few days. I have not experimented with larger amounts of seed money to see if the effect is magnified but interested readers might like to try this (but please don't divert needed funds from other sources if you need them) and report back to me and let me know of anything interesting.
We do know that success breeds success so maybe if our mind becomes convinced that we are wealthier than we think it might set in motion a more abundant vibration.
