There are so many health products in the market. At the moment, Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is the hottest topic in the market. Everyone in everywhere is talking about Hgh. Hgh or Human Growth Hormone is a hormone naturally produced by the pituitary gland which is located in the brain and it is responsible for the growth and maintainance of healthy cells in every part of the body. HGH is a natural hormone found in all healthy people. This hormone is produced by the pituitary gland inside the brain, right behind the eyes. This hormone is responsible for development and growth for all humans. Children are dependent on this hormone for normal growth and once they become adults it plays a role in metabolism. HGH is also responsible for people growing taller, hgh also helps in other areas such as human development. HGH have been proven to reverse muscle wasting in AIDS patients. There is also claims that HGH supplements will slow down the aging process but this has not yet been proven.

HGH is made through genetic engineering which is a complex procedure. In years past hgh was made by taking pituitary glands out of dead bodies and then processing it. These hormones were then injected into hgh deficient patients. Today HGH does not need to be given by a doctor it is available as nasal sprays and pills. Hgh helps children grow normally because of an HGH deficiency which can cause their growth to be stunted.

HGH supplements are being taken by athletes because it claims to build muscle and increased stamina. Most advertisers will have you believe that HGH is the magic cure for various ailments. Many people fall for these unproved claims and take HGH without medical supervision. This will result in people suffering some side effects and not benefiting from HGH at all.

If HGH is medically supervised it can be safe and will have few side effects. When taken without medical supervision the side effect risk is increased. Excess use of HGH can cause acromegaly. This condition causes the jaw bone to protrude as well as the eyebrow bone. Abnormal growth of feet and hands and growth of hair is also a side effect of this condition. Contrary to most reports this condition will shorten your life considerably.

Here are some of the known side effects caused by unsupervised use of HGH:
Acromegaly (described above)
Dieing prematurely (caused by acromegaly)
Enlargement of the heart. (cause by continued use of hgh. this cannot be reversed)
The risk of going into a diabetic coma cause by low blood sugar.
Hair growth all over the body.
Water retention.
Damage to the liver.
Damage to the thyroid.

Buying hgh from reputed distributors is safe if properly supervised, but the disadvantage to this method is they are very expensive. Most people who take hgh unsupervised buy large amounts of this product because the price is lower. They use of counterfeit hgh products increases the side effects even more. The sharing of needles to inject hgh increases the transmission of blood viruses. The deadliest of these being the AIDS virus.

Hgh marketers will have you believe that hgh can solve a variety of deficiencies, from growing hair in bald spots, improving your sex life, burning fat without exercise and the list goes on. If these things were true there would be no sickness and every one would have a perfect body. These claims are obviously made to sell supplements because of the expense and would not sell otherwise. The risks of taking hgh supplements seems to outweigh the benefits in an unsupervised capacity. The best thing to do is to maintain a healthy lifestyle through exercise and a proper diet.
