[I73]I Want A Credit Card
by Christie Foxvog, Chr
There are some people that believe that there are certain personal characteristics that can help to determine if you are responsible enough to have a credit card or if you should hold off on getting one.

1.Excessive spender-are you an excessive spender? Do you have a problem with spending too much money? If so, than you should hold off on getting a credit card. Credit cards are great to have for an emergency or the occasional purchase, but not all of the time and for everyday use; unless you can keep up with the bills.
2.Previous Credit cards-Do you have several other credit cards that you have fallen behind on and/or are over limit on? If this is you, than maybe you should also hold off on getting a credit card unless you cut some of the others or pay some off.
3.Consistently late on payments-Are you ALWAYS late on payments on your bills or other purchases? This is another sign that maybe you should not have a credit cards just yet.

There are several credit cards out there specifically for those that have bad credit or no credit at all, but even if you are one of those people, think before you get a credit card. You do not want to get yourself in even more debt. Try and pay other things off first.

Above I have listed three personal characteristics that are great in helping to determine if you are ready for a credit card or not. If you fall under one or two of these characteristics, make sure you think twice before signing on the dotted line, otherwise; sign away, just don't over do it on the spending and make sure you keep up with your purchases.

It is very tempting to have a credit card. In fact some people have up to three or four credit cards from different banks. Credit cards are doing nothing good at all in our lives except creating more debts. At first, when you apply for a credit card, you might be thinking that you will only use it in times of emergency. However, as time goes by, you will use it more often on things you don't need and things that you can pay with cash. Soon, your bills mounted a high as Everest and then it hit your hard on the face. You should always take proper care not spend too much using it as the interest rates are
very high.

Canceling a credit card is possible but you will still have to pay off the outstanding balance. How can you possible repay all the debt when you are starving at the end of the month? Therefore it is very important to ask this question before you apply for a credit card, how important is credit card?

Banks will do all they can to drag you into the pool of money. At the same time, you will also be drowning in the pool of money for spending so much, much more than what you can afford. To prevent from falling into such a trick, educate yourself about financial management. Learn how to spend wisely and save for rainy days. Avoid credit cards at all cost in the beginning will help you reduce your debt in life. However, if you are already in debt with so many credit cards, you should find a way to resolve this problem before it gets worse. You should not go in for a credit card if it is not your immediate need and try avoiding it.

Credit card is more of a desire than need. You don't need a credit card for survival and therefore, credit card is not important at all. There is no need to apply for credit card unless if you are doing business as you will need to have money all the time, specifically cash. Think over before you apply for one to avoid being regret later in life. You should always see to it that you are using the credit card in a control way to avoid any kind of problem later on at any time.

When you get a credit card in your wallet, you should almost consider it a gift because not everyone in life can get one. If you have one that's top of the line with rewards and everything, use it to your advantage and don't abuse it. The credit card companies are there to be nice enough to lend you money that you don't have. So, instead of being a bum and never paying them back, be a good user and pay them every penny back and then some. Put yourself in their shoes. How would you like it if you lent people money and they never paid you back?
