[I90]I Want To Take Your Money
by Pat Samples, Pat
What's the fun in that?

Exactly! Oh sure, there is the adrenaline rush of getting ahead in the race. And the kudos and cash rewards can be substantial. Yet, aren't there days when you wonder if you're crazy going at this pace all the time? Your body may especially be giving you signals that it can't take much more. Headaches. Digestion problems. Rapid heart rate. Sleeplessness. Maybe just plain exhaustion. Be honest now ? what's your body saying about your rapid-paced lifestyle? If you're relying on large amounts of alcohol or medication or even ?calming? spa time to slow yourself down, how nuts is that!

Maybe it's time you listened to your body for some clues about the pacing that's best for you. Try this simple activity:

1) Find a fairly large space to walk in ? a long hallway, a big family room, or an outdoor area.
2) Walk for a couple minutes in your usual way.
3) Then walk for a minute or two at the pace your life is going.
4) Walk at the opposite pace.
5) Experiment with different ways and speeds of walking for a few minutes.
6) Walk at the pace you'd like your life to be going.

As you do this exercise, explore each kind of walking with childlike curiosity. Have fun with it. Spend some time noticing how your body feels at each of the speeds. Where does your body feel most comfortable? What seems most like ?home? for you?

After doing this exercise, write in your journal a few paragraphs beginning with, "When I take my own sweet time...."Pay attention to what you discover about what your own timing is and the ease you feel at that pace. Make yourself a promise to honor your internal clock every day.

Let your curiosity and new awareness stay with you throughout the next few days. What is the pacing that leaves you most in the flow and having the most fun during your day? What health benefits do you start to notice? Maybe you'll even feel a little less "crazy"!

Enjoy the freedom that comes when you take your own sweet time.

We wondered too, when we heard the phrase for the first time a few years ago, at an internet convention. One of the internet's marketing gurus was speaking on stage, and was extolling the virtues of SEO friendly web design. We wondered ? is this another fad that's going to come in?

But now, we understand that he was right. Search engine optimization and web design are entirely linked, and SEO is a process that has to begin right from the conceptualizing phase of a website. A lot of websites and webmasters fail because they begin too late. If you too are of the opinion that search engines pick out websites only on the base of its content, you are not entirely correct.

Yes, content plays a major role in the indexing of web pages by search engines; but then the best content is not of any use, if not indexed properly by search engines. Indexing is done with the help of keywords, and unless the article is tagged with the proper keywords, your website doesn't stand a chance of coming out on top.

Another aspect of SEO friendly web design is the usage of meta and alt tags in pictures. All modern websites have a lot of multimedia content on their home page and in fact, on all the pages. These images and videos also play a major role in responding to search queries. If you see the upgraded Google search engine result pages, you will see that pictures and videos are also displayed on the main search page. So, why lose out on an opportunity by not linking them with the right keywords? This aspect is best done in the designing phase itself.

The best search engine optimization companies and internet marketing companies would ensure that the SEO process would begin right from the designing phase, so that no major changes need to be incorporated after the website goes live, and feedback comes in that there is some aspect missing to optimize. For you to understand the actual impact of a SEO friendly web design, you should look at some of the best sites that come out on top of search engine result pages, and you will realize what SEO friendly web design can do for your site folks.
