Here are a few fun and worthwhile activities that you can do during the rainy days.
1. Re-arrange your living room.
You especially need to engage in activities that will make you sweat during the rainy days. Rather than lying on your bed the whole day, why don't you use that time to re-arrange the furniture in your living room? You can take the Howard Miller clocks or the Bulova clocks that are hiding in your room and put them in your living room center table instead. They will surely make great decorations. If you have a Howard Miller Floor clock, then you can always change its location so that your visitors will never fail to notice it.
Yes, re-arranging your living room is tiresome but since it's not a very wise idea to go outside anyway, doing this is certainly worth your while. With this activity, you have not only put your Bulova clocks in better view, but you've also exercised and stretched those muscles of yours! Good for your health, indeed!
2. Have a movie marathon.
If you simply want to enjoy the day without exerting substantial physical effort, then you can always have a movie marathon. You can go to your nearest video store and rent some DVD's. Better yet, if you own loads of then, then now is the time to watch them. The day is already gloomy so it might be a great idea to focus on feel-good and comedy films.
With 2 to 3 movies, you'd be surprised at how much your Bulova clocks have turned. The day is almost over and tomorrow would be another day. Who knows, it will already be sunny?
3. Bond with the kids through computer games.
Today, almost every kid in a middle-income family owns a Sony PSP, a Nintendo DS or a Gameboy. So why don't you use the rainy day to bond with your kids or your little brother or cousin. Better yet, play NBA Live in your PS2 or Top Spin in Wii. As this allows two players to get into the game simultaneously, you can truly bond with the kids at home. This way, you are getting yourself acquainted with what keeps them busy and entertained. And no matter how much time you've spent on this (as shown by your Bulova clocks), you've never really wasted a minute of it.
4. Cook for the family.
Because people don't like to go out during rainy days, then you practically have every member of the household at home. As such, it would be a great time for you to cook. Thus, when your Bulova clocks say it's already dinner time, you have something to offer.
Rainy days are not as bad as you think. There are a number of things that you can do to make it worthwhile. Who knows, after doing the things suggested above, the sun will start showing already?
