First you have to figure how much time you have to dedicate to your new endeavor. Most opportunities will claim you can make a fortune in just a few hours per week. That sounds so enticing, but in reality that is not the case.
Like any other money making plan of action, it takes time and effort to make life changing money. If it didn't take hard work and dedication everyone would suceed in the home business arena. The fact is 95% of people fail. The reason being is that they just don't persist, and do not do what it takes to make their business successful.
Okay so now you know the first big step...Hard work. You will not transform your finances over night, because there is a learning curve. It does not mater what type of business you in, MLM, direct sales or whatever, there is a lot to learn
When you are sure you have what it takes to focus and dedicate your time and efforts then you need to take the next step. That would be picking a business or program that you feel strongly about.
If you decide on an MLM business be prepared to do some work outside the home. There are meetings and action groups that are held weekly. There is also learning the products, which there are normally 100's, and then there is the complex compensation plan. Direct sales is, well, a lot more direct!
In my opinion the quickest way to success and profit is in the direct sales internet marketing business. You have no quotas to meet, no products to stock, and the commissions dwarf that of what you will find in the MLM businesses.
When your decision has been made as to which business opportunity you will pursue, you then need to take a look at who will be sponsoring you into the program. Look for a leader who can help you achieve your goals by showing you the way. Make sure he or she is accessible...that they answer their phone and emails! Because they won't be much help if you can never get them on the phone.
Now that you have chosen the business and the person you feel comfortable with as your sponsor, you need an organized schedule in which you will work the business. You need to work around your current obligations, while pusuing this new opportunity. Whether it be early mornings before work, or late nights and weekends, a schedule is a must to keep you on track.
For those of you with more time it will be a quicker transition, but even if you have only an hour or two a day the key is to do something every day to advance your knowledge and apply what you have learned! That is the key to it all persistence. If you are persist in your efforts there is no way you can lose.
The decline of the American family may be greatly due to the overwhelming amount of time constraints placed on parents. Both parents are now expected to work full time jobs while being excellent parents, keeping up the household responsibilities and trying to squeeze in a social life. Time is divided between soccer games, PTA meetings, homework, cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, errands, visiting friends, hobbies, home repair, vehicle maintenance, volunteer work, reading, after hours meetings with clients, going to the gym, doctor's appointments, retirement and college fund planning, quality time with the kids, conversation with your spouse, sex and getting your hair done... Whew! It is no wonder we drag ouselves out of bed!
Many families are looking at an Home Based business to relieve some of the stress while still bringing in income. Set your own schedule, work at your own pace all while considering what is really important in life. No more explaining to the boss why you simply cannot work over Tuesday night or you will miss your son's first public performance as a tree (which is actually more important?).
Working from home can allow you to juggle your priorities according to your value system. Business priorities benefit the family and the family can now benefit the business. With home based businesses, the children can help with household and business tasks, while providing comic relief.
Involving the family in your business can provide a sense of belonging and togetherness. Camaraderie can carry the day when the work is overwhelming and every one pitches in to help. Children can learn important life lessons by being involved in the family business. Children learn more from watching than they ever do from you telling them what to do when you work from home. You will never have to give "parental guidance"...work ethic, honesty and integrity can all be taught without speaking a word. It's been said: "Children more attention pay to what you do than what you say"....and it is true!
On those days when work spills over into time normally spent with your family, it can be comforting to know that they are only a few steps away while you are stuck at your desk or on the phone. Getting an unexpected glass of tea and a peanut buttery kiss from a little one can you give the encouragement you need to get through that last hour of work!
A home based business is an excellent way to integrate work demands with family priorities.
