Ross Klein is known around the world now as the one who is in charge of the strategic development of Hilton Hotels Corporation. The groups luxury portfolio includes the Waldorf Astoria Collection, the Conrad Hotels & Resorts, and also the Waldorf Astoria. He will also be front man for Hiltons new mysterious lifestyle brand that will be announced in March of 2009, Project Global 21.

His originality of design and passion for luxury lifestyle brands has landed him this role for Hilton in June of 2008. Ross Klein is an American and is the past President of Starwood Luxury Brands Group. This group includes The Luxury Collection, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, and W Hotels Worldwide. Aloft, a high design, low cost brand was also overseen by Klein in the past. His marketing skills are just one of the reasons that it is claimed that he turned the W Hotels brand into the luxury chain that it is. He has earned many awards in his career for design, innovation, and business strategy.

When Ross Klein held the position of President of Starwoods Group beginning in 2003, he quickly became well liked and respected by his staff. However, the president and CEO of Starwood Hotels & Resorts began butting heads with him, and apparently the two did not really get along. Apparently there was too much micromanaging being done according to some, and Ross Klein resigned.

Klein is not only a design mastermind, but in the past he has also been a marketing executive for both Polo and Ralph Lauren. Integrating hotels with fashion is just one of the many talents that he is reportedly a genius at. Ross Klein knows all of the hottest celebrities and knows not only how to talk the talk, but there is no mistaking the fact that he can also do more than walk the walk, too.

Recently, the top notch designers home on South Howells Point Road in Bellport was on the market for $799,000. The two bedroom, two bath house is located in the same village as those of Isabella Rossellini and Charlie Rose. Klein put the house up for sale since he took on his new post with Hilton since he relocated to Los Angeles. The house is a kit house, a 1954 Weyerhaeuser. Klein of course restored it and decorated it with mid century modern accessories. The shingles are cedar, and the house has a great room, beamed ceilings, glass walls, and along with this home of Ross Klein come a private deeded access to the ocean and the bay beaches.
