[J58]Job Search Engine Site
by Cheow Yu Yuan, Che
When you optimize a page, it is important to match your Title and Meta tagging with the content of the page. For example, if you have a page which lists the services that you sell, you should place the most important and related keywords in the Title, Meta, H1, and H2 tags of the page. If the page consists of images, you should also place your keywords in the ALT tags too.

Within your content, there should be a nice mix of repetition for the keyword that you wish to optimize. However, make sure that you do not overdo it. By repeating the keyword too many times within a page, search engines may think that you are a spammer and that may hurt your ranking.

To optimize every page of your site, planning need to be done. Before you build your website, you should have a very clear picture of the sitemap of your site. Sitemap gives you a good understanding of how each page is link to one another, and what are the content on each of the page. With a good sitemap, you will be able to know what keyword to optimize for every page of your site.

Before you choose any keyword to optimize, you should always do a research first. Find out what are some of the popular keywords that your competitors are optimizing. If you run an Adwords campaign before for your website, you can also get some ideas on the popular keywords that searchers are typing to find your website from your Adwords campaign. Choose keywords that have high search volume and optimize them accordingly on the different pages of your site.

Once you have placed the necessary keywords on every page of your site, it is time to increase the link popularity of each page so as to obtain optimal ranking for your keywords. You should create separate keyword-rich anchor text and point them to the respective pages that you are optimizing. For example, you should point an anchor text with the keyword "SEO service" to a SEO page and an anchor text with the keyword "PPC service" to a PPC page. This will help build quality backlinks for each of the pages.

Optimizing every page of your site is definitely a great SEO practice as you will not be able to know which page or pages will be ranked by search engines. Every page is a potential entry point for your visitors. You will not want to miss out on the opportunity to get visitors, don't you?

The Importance Of Marketing Through a Recession

You might think that cutting marketing will save you money. In fact, it could have the opposite effect. Companies that drop off the radar during bad economic times tend to have a harder time recovering when the economy bounces back. If your name isn't out there, customers will lose faith in your business and turn their attention to competitors who kept up their marketing efforts despite the poor economy.

One of the most affordable marketing methods is search engine optimization (SEO). Of course, it quickly becomes less affordable if you have to pay someone else to do it for you. Bringing your SEO in-house allows you to continue marketing online (where most consumers will be looking for you) and cuts your marketing costs.

Deciding Who Should Attend SEO Training

You need to decide who will be attending the course and determine their current level of SEO expertise. Most search engine optimization training courses will provide both beginner and advanced levels of training. By tailoring the courses this way, SEO trainers can reach both novices and more advanced users with content that is relevant to them.

Depending on the size of your business, you may want to have a designated trainee who learns the basics and then teaches them to the other people involved in your online marketing efforts. Alternately, you may want to send a couple of people who have different skill sets, i.e. a “technical” person who wants to learn the coding aspects of SEO, and a “creative” person who wants to learn about SEO copywriting, blogging and so on.

SEO Training Covers All the Bases

Whether you are weighing the merits of a pay per click campaign, or wondering how to incorporate social media into your online marketing mix, search engine optimization training can help you.

Course agendas generally get revised periodically to keep current with changes in search engine marketing, but most search engine optimization training covers the following main topics:

•how search engines work
•keyword research
•SEO copywriting
•using online directories
•link building
•social media and blogging
•pay per click, either as an introductory or advanced session

Some may also discuss website analytics, so you can learn how to evaluate the performance of your web site.

In-House SEO Made Easy with SEO Training

Search engine optimization training can help you take control of your online marketing (and its associated costs). If you feel you need a little extra help after your course, look for SEO training that includes mentoring. You could also use a two-pronged strategy where you do most of the SEO but rely on a search engine marketing firm to help you with the more labour-intensive aspects, like keyword research and analytics.

Whatever you decide, your business will benefit from implementing an affordable and effective search engine marketing plan.
