Contrary to Ian Ziering's enthusiasm on the popular celebrity competition, Dancing with the Stars, Beverly Hills co-star Jason Priestly is avoiding any possibilities of being part of the dance program. Canada's Jam! Showbiz Entertainment news website recently asked the actor if he is willing to join Dancing with the Stars, and his answer was very abrupt.

"Not a chance," the 37-year-old actor replied.

However, Priestly admits that he enjoys watching reality shows such as Dancing with the Stars. In fact, he has been in attendance during one of the competition nights wherein Ziering was performing. He was spotted in the audience, in full support of his friend and co-star. In addition, he also thinks highly of Ziering, who, according to Priestly, takes dancing sincerely.

"Here's the thing about Ian - he is so ultra-competitive. He's not a guy who played team sports or organized sports when he was a kid. So as an adult he's really competitive," Priestly revealed to Jam! "He's taking this all really seriously, which is very funny. But he's doing great. I'm happy for him and he's excited about it."

However, the former Beverly Hills 90210 isn't about to jump into the bandwagon of celebrities strutting their stuff on the dance floor for Dancing with the Stars.

"I'm still fighting against the whole reality TV trend. I can't just buy into," said Priestly. "Now, if I know somebody on one of these shows, I'll watch it. But to actually do it? I can't really see myself going that route."

A native of British Columbia, Canada, Priestly was highly popularized by his appearance as Brandon Walsh on the hit television series, Beverly Hills 90210. He also made appearances on various television shows such as Tru Calling, Love Monkey, Without a Trace and What I Like About You. In addition, he has worked on films such as The Boy Who Could Fly, Calendar Girl, Eye of the Beholder, Standing on Fishes, Hot Tamale and Going the Distance.
