[L486]Logitech Driving Force Feedback
by Derek Manuel, Der
I believe a man with hunger and no talent will always beat a man with a lot of talent and no hunger in the long run. If you have ever seen someone who is truly hungry to build muscle mass and get in shape, you will see an intensity, a fire in that person that separates himself from everybody else. If you can learn to develop this type of hunger to succeed, building muscle will no longer be a task, but a foregone conclusion.

With this being true, you can even go as far to say that whether or not you will be successful is already pre-determined before you even begin. If you don't build enough hunger in the beginning, you will much more likely fall in to your inevitable temptations of quiting or taking days off. If your desire is strong, however, you will adapt the necessary winning attitude that will keep you on track no matter how many times you may fail. Can you see how important it is to have a burning desire when you want to achieve something big?

So what exactly is desire? Desire is the engine that fires up all the other principles of success. Enough hunger will add energy to your motivation and belief and will help you see past the obstacles by keeping your mind on positive thoughts that can propel you to higher levels of performance and success, rather then negative thoughts that will hinder your progress. It deepens your concentration and strengthens your determination. It will blast right past all of the limits and obstacles you create in you mind.

Those who have a burning hunger to succeed whether it was born within them or developed are the people who truly make a name for themselves. When you turn a simple "want" or "wish" into a burning desire, then you have begun something very special. Maintain that burning desire by reading your goals daily and constantly picture yourself in the future and how you want to look or how strong you want to be. Maintain this hunger level through every minute of your workouts and you always double the effort and results you get in the gym.

One of the best ways to build your hunger level until it becomes an unquenchable fire inside is by getting into the habit of stimulating your mind daily on what you want to look like. This can only be done by controlling your concious thoughts. Think about what you want to achieve every moment of the day, and surround yourself with people who have similar desires as you, as well as other forms of inspiration such as books, magazines, movies, etc.

There are many important keys to success in weight training, or anything for that matter. Things such as concentration, persistence, hard work, careful planning, specialized knowledge, faith, and so on. I could spend hours writing about each one of these, but when you truly have a burning desire, all the rest of these things fall into place. Set up a systematic way in which you can build your hunger level each and everyday, and when you create a habit of thinking about your goals everyday with a burning obsession, success will only be a matter of time.

Think about this. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Oprah winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Larry Ellison, Soichiro Honda and Richard Branson, have one thing in common, all of them do not have a college degree.

Yet they have built billion dollar empires run by extremely well qualified managers and professionals, many of them possessing Harvard MBAs.

This is still true today. Many intelligent, well-educated people who have MBAs and PhDs do not accomplish much although they may have the intelligence and knowledge.

The irony is that many people who do extremely well academically usually end up working for those who were average performers in school.

On the other hand, there are many millionaires and business owners who dropped out of college, never attending university only to find themselves producing phenomenal results.

Why is this so? The answer lies in the simple fact that these individuals took more action than compared to others. More often than not, these successful individuals made up their mind thinking that they had nothing to lose.so they take action, massive action
to make up for it.

While book knowledge and tertiary education are extremely valuable assets, too much of it can become a liability.

When people have excess knowledge, they spend all their time analyzing thinking WHY 'something cannot be done; so much so that it paralyses them from taking any form of action.

For those highly qualified academically, they tend to be more risk averse. These people tend to take less action.

Knowledge, intelligence and capability are not 'power'. They are only potential forms of power. Only when action is taken do these acquired resources realize their potential.

Action is the driving force that makes things happen. When consistent action is taken towards a specific outcome, results will definitely be produced.

We either get the results we want (success), or we get the results we don't want (feedback). By changing our strategy and consistently taking even more action, we will eventually get the results we want.

Success is defined by how much action we take and not just by how much knowledge and capability we have. Knowledge can be learnt and capability can be acquired.

Taking massive action is the key to unleashing personal power. People who combine knowledge with massive action become unstoppable in achieving any goal.
