[L210]Learning To Dance In The Rain
by Dwight Ferren, Dwi
Being a man though that is not ordinary I suppose I will admit to not being ashamed to liking, ok let me be honest here, loving to be with out with my wife. Yes that means that being with your wife also can mean dancing and having a wonderful time not just being in a pub shooting pool or whatever else you like to do guys.

I realized that after watching the TV show Dancing with the Stars that is it possible to learn dancing in a better way then just going around trying to dance the way I danced in High School. It wasn't sexy nor pretty those kind of movements, and now at my age it probably isn't that good for me either. Laugh if you may!

Now that brings up another point, the topic of being good for ones health too. I have noticed that this Show Dancing with the Stars also benefits our fitness and body shape. The Stars seem to becoming more and more fit each and every week, their shapes and sizes changing so dramatically, so quickly as I sat there on the couch eating. So who really gave it any thought that dancing The Rhumba, The Samba, The Tango, The Jive, The Waltz, The Cha Cha or The Tango could make exercise such an enjoyable experience and with such huge benefits too. Well I certainly didn't realize it but now I am reaping the benefits.

Guys, lets get back to us, can you see yourself on the dance floor, moving to the beats of Salsa, Samba, Waltz's and even the Tango with other guys in the room looking at you with envy? That is something that can happen to you as it is happening for me as my wife and I playfully learn to dance the Salsa. After we get this Salsa Dance completed we have 7 other dances to learn. I think we will try learning the Latin Dances first.

Lastly, there are more benefits to this learning to dance opportunity my wife and I have ventured onto and this is the best, absolutely the best thing that happens from ballroom dancing with my wife cheek to cheek. I am pretty sure you have figured it out already, and it is that our relationship has prospered, flourished, back to the point when our time spent together was filled with passion, excitement and laughter.

Now I think that this has been an excellent investment to my future life with my wife if not the best investment of my life.

Another factor to consider when you are trying to find a good dance school for your child is the size of the classes. The average class for most schools is around 15 to 20 students. This is quite a few students for a teacher to look after and even more for a small child to cope with.
Students and especially young children work at different paces. Large classes like this are difficult for them, as they can often have enormous pressure to try to keep up with the rest of the class. Pressure on children at this age can set them up for life long problems.
Large classes tend to make many children feel as though they don't exist. This can often lead to them competing for attention. Dance is about creativity and self expression and if a child can't feel comfortable and understood by their teacher and peers their dancing will suffer. It is always a shame when a young person's creativity suffers because of a poor choice in school. This can lead to other difficulties and a loss of confidence.
These days, the quality dance schools have smaller classes, which are a much better suited to the needs of young children. In fact, this mantra is being repeated across all learning institutions who desire quality outcomes. This is where the science of teaching shows out in an organization. You can bet a dance school that still employs large class sizes is one that is run by non-professionals. Small classes are:
More secure and full of atmosphere. A child needs to feel at home to perform at their best, small classes do exactly that.
Well facilitated learning: The teachers understand the craft of teaching and the benefits of smaller classes. This allows them to cater for the different rates of learning that are normal amongst young people.
Good atmosphere: Small classes allow children to make friends and form strong bonds with all the people around them. These social skills will be useful for the rest of their lives and of great benefit.
Encourages concentration: Smaller classes offer less distraction for young students. This enables them to concentrate better and absorb what the teacher is explaining to them.
Better screening : Small classes are often harder to get into because the children are at a more advanced stage. The teachers are well sought after because of reputation, as are the schools. Better screening of students will mean that everyone able to get more out of their dancing.
Keep these points in mind when you are looking for a good dance school for your child. It is once more a question of knowing your child's needs and how they learn. You can then choose the best environment that you can for them to learn to dance. Small classes, as you see, are best, especially for young children. With this type of learning environment you are ensuring that your child will get the most out of their dancing lessons and really enjoy them.
