The Spanish language has gained popularity over the years. It has so many speakers across the globe as of today and there are still people interested to learn the language. But how does one really learn a language and eventually speak it? The good news about this is that, a person learning the Spanish language is lucky. Why, you ask? Because there are so many Spanish terms spread all around us. The Spanish language is actually everywhere!

If this reason isn't enough to convince you that learning Spanish can be easy, then look around. If you don't see one Spanish word, then I could agree with you but by the rate of how fast the Spanish language is able to interest people by the minute, it sure is an interesting thing to try.

Most Spanish learners take the language by course. There are still who prefer taking Spanish courses in universities and colleges though. But if you prefer to learn Spanish at home or online while at home, it's possible. You may want to check the internet for a list of good Spanish courses. Be sure to specify the type of Spanish lesson you would want to take as well because there could be some that are too long or too short for you.

Take note, if you are planning on a trip to a Spanish speaking country and are interested to learn basic Spanish phrases, there are free materials online which you can use. These are the type of online lessons that you can search on the web and bookmark. The trick though, is how you can learn from it since most of these are self-learning sources. Simply take a minimum of 20 minutes to a maximum of 30 out of your busy day and learn one word at a time. Keep in mind as well that it's not how much you can say but how you say it. By the time you finish up one of these lessons, you're surely ready for your travel.

And yet, you can still take an extensive Spanish learning program by just spending 20 minutes each day. All you have to do is do the same thing, learn one word at a time, understand it, and find out how it is used and what it is for. This approach makes it easier for you embrace Spanish in the long run.

Keep if fun too! The more you enjoy each lesson everyday, the better you are able to learn.

The questions you should ask your self are : How serious am I about learning Spanish? answer it. Next question, the most important one, the answer will determine if you will learn or not. The question is WHY DO I WANT TO LEARN SPANISH? Think about this, everything you do in your life is for a reason, sometime you succeed sometime you don't.When you don't succeed is because the answers to the WHY weren't strong enough.

When you see a baby learning to walk, falling down at almost every steep, hurting him self, the baby is not concious about this of course but he has more then enough strong answer WHY he should learn to walk, even if it is not simple for him at this time. So what you should get, is more than enough strong answer to the question WHY do I want to learn Spanish? and feel the answer, don't just answer that question like you don't care feel it and be passionate about it, and like the baby you will not allow your self to quit.

Now you are motivated to learn Spanish, you found all the strong answers you need to stimulate you, if not, find some more and write them down.

Next step we need a plan to make this work.

Set your goals. Always phrase your goal in the positive, this help the subconscious mind to target the goals you are pursuing. Specify your goal in as much detail as you can. You are not just learning Spanish. You are learning Spanish so you can communicate effectively with locals by a certain date. Or perhaps, to pass a particular exam with an A grade. Visualize yourself attaining the goal. How does it feel to have effortless conversation with an interesting local person? Will you frame that examination certificate? Imagine it in a gold frame. Again, you are programming your mind with subconscious instructions. Write it in the present tense - "I am enjoying effortless conversation in Spanish by Summer 200x." Is your goal big enough? or just a little mouse of a goal? Think big. Write that goal down. A 6x4" index card is ideal for this. Motivational guru Gene Donohue said that "The difference between a goal and a dream is the written word."

Avoid sharing your goals with others as any negative influences will harm your positive self talk. Of course, if someone is on the critical path to you achieving your goal then you must bring that person into your confidence. Review and revisit your goal first thing every morning and last thing every night to get your conscious and subconscious thinking aligned. Live the goal each time, using all the senses. Hear the language, smell the flowers, feel the handshake and imagine the taste of the food. Just follow these simple instructions and you will learn Spanish in no time.
