[L187]Learn To Live Album
by Michael Bens, Mic
Lunchtime arrives and you're just not that hungry. Maybe a quick snack bar, a diet soda, and back to work. Do you ever wonder what your kids are eating for lunch? Have they come to the same conclusion?

Alright, time to prepare dinner, and time is short. You have three places to be in order to get everybody to practice, pickup the cleaning, and then on home. On the way to the cleaners you realize dinner is going to be a lite one if you fix what you have at home. Where to stop? How about pizza and soda? Or maybe the kids would like burgers and fries. While you try to decide what to provide for dinner, the kids have finished practice and they're starving. The gym has a food dispenser for snacks and sodas, and so they load up on candy bars and coke.

It's 6:45 pm and you've made the last stop on the child pickup train. Everybody's loaded up and ready to go home. You've decided to stop for pizza, already called your order in, and it's ready when you stop by.

Have you ever stopped to ponder why you eat the way you do? Where did those habits develop from? Do we learn these habits as we grow up? That's exactly where we learn them. Then we just improve upon them as we age. As the demands of really hectic lives intrude upon our mealtime, we simply skip meals, compact meals, or choose the quickest alternative.

These food habits are not lost on our children either. They take note of our food habits, just like they do our hygiene habits, our work habits, and our exercise habits. They will generally follow right along behind us parents. What is it we say to them, ?good habits are just as easy as bad??

What we should absorb as we travel along life's daily path is a way to incorporate healthy habits into our lifestyle. There is generally just as much room for healthy as there is unhealthy, it just so happens that unhealthy holds more appeal.

Unhealthy receives more advertising dollars than healthy, and is often more visible. But that doesn't mean it's any easier, more convenient, or cheaper. Habits, generally take about two weeks to make the switch from conscious action to unconscious habit. Two weeks is not long, it's not long at all for decisions that will affect you for the rest of your life. It's also not long for the potential reward that comes from setting an example your children can follow, and you can be proud for them to follow. You teach them daily about the good habits you want them to develop, and then you demonstrate a bad one in your food choices. C'mon, mom and dad, let's practice what we preach.

A cash advance is the easiest way to get your hands on money to pay an urgent bill or a long-standing debt. This type of loan is attractive to borrowers living from paycheck to paycheck because it is fast and convenient and does not require much credit background checking. Here are useful tips to manage your finances while living with a short term loan.

Learning To Live With Loans

Always wondering where your money went after you cashed in your paycheck? Are you always grappling with bills and daily expenses and paying a cash advance every payday?

You can still make something out of your paycheck - if you are determined. Proper planning and consistent management of your finances will change your life and give you a sense of direction. In the interim, a cash advance becomes a useful financial tool when you're managing your finances to the letter.

It takes guts to live on less and the struggle is a hard one. But eventually, you'll get out of numerous loans accumulated in a year's time with the proper use and management of your money.

If a short-term loan has to be paid, pay it. It may mean two weeks of misery, but it is worth it because next payday, you'll be back in the groove.

For starters, don't borrow more than you can afford to pay. If you need $100, don't get $200 just because a loan is available. This is a common but fatal mistake.

How is Your Money Management?

Look at your finances. Should a medical emergency emerge, will you have enough money to cover the expense and have extra for medication? If your answer is no, you have to assess the way you spend your money. This will also reflect how well you can handle a cash advance without the pain.

The money gurus talk about money for spending and for investing while living without the nice extras. Can you discipline yourself to save for a future, instead of spending too much for the wants of the present? This is a dilemma for the average wage earner with a family to support.

Money management is about the proper use of your money, spending or investing it. Usually people would scoff at the thought of money management. What's there to manage when money is always tight? That's why they have to resort to the relief provided by a quickie loan when they're caught short between paydays.

It sure pays to know how manage your money management, even if you're not Donald Trump or Bill Gates. The less money you have, the more you have to learn about managing your finances.

Living on Less

Saving on money should start at home. Review your expenses and look at your grocery and utility bills. What can you do to reduce the amount you spend on food without sacrificing your health, and how to trim the electric bill without forgoing convenience?

You'd be surprised at the endless possibilities. Living on less requires a paradigm shift in attitude and lifestyle. But once you become comfortable using less electricity (ironing clothes and heated showers) eating less meat and sweets, and eschew shopping and movies and snacking, you'll get by the two longest weeks of your life after you've paid your short term loan in full.

It takes a loan to teach you how to manage your money and survive on less. Pay that cash advance and don't make any excuses. You'll be glad you did.
