[F767]Free Opt In Email
by Inderpreet Singh, Ind
This article will take a look at some of the most common thoughts on building your very own mailing list. You are going to need a website, but not just any site will do. It really is a must to have a website setup in your chosen niche. This makes you look more like a professional plus it gives you a way to collect the email address of your potential subscriber. The first thing you need to do after you get your site up and running is to put a sign up page that will let people sign up for your list. This should be placed in a position that is easy to see. This needs to be one of the first things your website visitor will see.

You can put different things in your sign up box, depending on what your offer is. It is usually good to keep things short and to the point. Usually just a bullet or so and a spot to fill out your name and email address. It is not any harder than that. You need to list what is in it for them. List the benefits and what they will receive in your offer. If you are giving something away do not to forget to mention it is not going to cost them anything. You can do a lot of things with a website. The possibilities are endless, such as selling your own ebook or putting ad sense on your pages, but your option box may be the best thing on your page. You should try to get your sign up box in as many places as you can on your site. You can visit fifty list building websites and come away with fifty different ways of doing things. It needs to be on more pages than just the home page. Every single page should have it on there.

Another school of thought is to put in a box that opens up when you visit the page. Some people will not like this and close it out immediately. But one thing is for sure; your box will get noticed. Always test this out to see if it will work with your customers. Having a site can sure help you're free opt in email lists. Take things one step at a time and watch as your list gets bigger and bigger.

First of all, you will need to have an opt-in form on your site where people can leave their names and email addresses so that they can begin receiving your emails. This will allow you to send them emails on a regular basis with their permission.

When you use a mailing list management system, like Aweber or Get Response, you can contact everyone simultaneously on your list, or in any other manner you choose. Using your email management actually ehls you to develop a much deeper relationship with your readers than just posting to your blog that your readers can get to through an RSS or email feed.

It is imperative that you use your list responsibly. You don't want to be sending your readers a bunch of unrelated stuff that they have no interest in. Don't send emails just to have an email out there. If you can't say something relevant, then do't say anything at all. :)

Trust me, if you just start sending stuff, you'll lose readers faster than you got them. People don't like spam, so why would you do that to your people, right?

That said, do send information that your readers will appreciate, information that is beneficial that has something to do with the business that they are subscribed to. If you aren't prepared with long-term info to send, just spread it out over time until you are. You can always build on what you have. It's much harder to keep readers after you've lost their trust.

At some point, you might find that you have many different lists of people that you need to split up. You might have prospects for one product versus another. You might have readers who have not yet become customers or customers that you want reading your blog.

Whatever the situation, you want to be sure that you send information or communicate with them in a certain specific way that relates directly to the relationship you have with them. This will keep them coming back to you and building your business.

There are two email management companies that are used the most by internet marketers that you could consider. Obviously there are more out there than just these, but these two are the biggest and most reputable.

First, there's Aweber (http://www.aweber.com), probably the #1 service. Any options you could think of with regard to functionality or managing your lists are available with this service. They are priced on a tiered system, based on the number of subscribers you have.

Then there's Get Response (http://getresponse.com), probably the #2 service. They are priced about the same as Aweber these days, but they have a leads campaign called "Get Subscribers" that is sort of a coregistration service, but more targeted and higher quality.

Building your list is like building a house. Once the foundation's down, you build brick by brick. The first one is as important as the last. Be sure you have an easy to use opt-in form and an opt-in email list management service that works for you. Then build your list person by person, and the next thing you know, you'll be playing in the big leagues, too!
